Cobra Commander
unless the Mets score 6 in the bottom of the 9th, they're about to be eliminated at home for the 5th time since 2000 (2000 WS, 2006 NLCS, 2015 WS, 2016 WC, 2022 WCS)

RIPPA
Since they want to ensure they protect any lead they have, the Dodgers are not including Craig Kimbrel on their NLDS roster

Dolfan in NYC
Julio Rodríguez is now the youngest player to hit a double and triple in postseason history. (21 years, 286 days) The record was previously held by Lou Gehrig (24 years, 110 days).
Cobra Commander
Wonder if this years MLB playoffs are showing more of an early tilt towards road teams or towards underdogs. If it's the former, then games 3/4 could be interesting in some series.

Cobra Commander
somehow the concept of using starting pitchers to get saves in the postseason is still being used despite the track record
Cobra Commander
hopefully Guardians/Yankees is interesting enough to hold Bob Costas in check from indulging his more annoying habits. At least they found a broadcast partner younger than Jim Kaat for Costas.

Pete
I'm surprised no one is talking about Acta insanely sending France home against Alvarez' cannon arm in the fourth inning with Raleigh coming up... because that took them out of the inning. I had a bad feeling that one might come back to haunt them, and lo and behold.

RIPPA
Speaking of Costas - as he was want to tell you last night... MLB is probably regretting having an off day between Game 1 and Game 2 as the weather is supposed to be fine in NY tonight but absolutely miserable on Thursday night
Cobra Commander
Yeah the LDS scheduling is the result of the lockout, right? Because 1-1-3 doesn’t seem to be too friendly to the higher seed
Greggulator
Philly is insane. The cheapest tickets on Stubhub for Friday's game is $240 for standing room only seats. It may have even gone up more. Our new national anthem has become Robyn's "Dancin' On My Own" because the boys were singing a version of it in their post-game craziness when they beat the Cards. This place is utter madness when the Phillies are good. On top of the 5-0 Eagles and a non-drama Sixers training camp and I also have been told the Union are really good.
