unless the Mets score 6 in the bottom of the 9th, they're about to be eliminated at home for the 5th time since 2000 (2000 WS, 2006 NLCS, 2015 WS, 2016 WC, 2022 WCS)

I'm surprised no one is talking about Acta insanely sending France home against Alvarez' cannon arm in the fourth inning with Raleigh coming up... because that took them out of the inning. I had a bad feeling that one might come back to haunt them, and lo and behold.

Wonder if this years MLB playoffs are showing more of an early tilt towards road teams or towards underdogs. If it's the former, then games 3/4 could be interesting in some series.

road teams did not fare well after that post

also... will Cleveland getting too many of their runs through HRs be blamed for the "not built for the postseason Yankees" winning this series? because it can't be that the team with 254 HRs is built better for a postseason than the team with 127 HRs

hopefully Guardians/Yankees is interesting enough to hold Bob Costas in check from indulging his more annoying habits. At least they found a broadcast partner younger than Jim Kaat for Costas.

Ron Darling might be younger that Jim Kaat but he is far far worse in the booth

Speaking of Costas - as he was want to tell you last night... MLB is probably regretting having an off day between Game 1 and Game 2 as the weather is supposed to be fine in NY tonight but absolutely miserable on Thursday night

Philly is insane. The cheapest tickets on Stubhub for Friday's game is $240 for standing room only seats. It may have even gone up more. Our new national anthem has become Robyn's "Dancin' On My Own" because the boys were singing a version of it in their post-game craziness when they beat the Cards. This place is utter madness when the Phillies are good. On top of the 5-0 Eagles and a non-drama Sixers training camp and I also have been told the Union are really good.

Remember when Ron used to be good? Hard to believe but he was at one time.
