if I copy a Twitter link off of the app, I just replace the X with Twitter and repaste the link and it works

I wonder if that's related to the navigation thing, because I gotta say, I've not had a problem with X links since I was forced to get a new device the other week

I tried that a couple times and it hasn’t worked. One time it broke the hyperlink. Not sure why the second time

what I recall doing was just replacing the X with Twitter, copying it, deleting it, and then pasting it

the general navigation thing has been around for awhile, I think the X thing is more about this board software having a way to embed Twitter.com links but not X.com links

So I just noticed that while I visit dvdvr on the secure https site the topics I click on seem to alternate between the http and https versions almost at random (I thought it might be related to how old the original post is but that didn't seem to pan out). If anyone knows why this is happening I'd love to know.

There's an error which suggests that even though users are (rightly) being forced to https, the site is located at http:

Uncaught DOMException: Failed to execute 'pushState' on 'History': A history state object with URL 'http://deathvalleydriver.com/forum/index.php?/topic/9741-cant-move-pages-backforward/page/2/' cannot be created in a document with origin 'https://deathvalleydriver.com' and URL 'https://deathvalleydriver.com/forum/index.php?/topic/9741-cant-move-pages-backforward/page/3/#comments'.

The first step in troubleshooting is to navigate to the part of the server where the site is (presumably public_html/forum or something like that) and see what value base_url has in the file conf_global.php. If it's http, then add the missing s to the end and save. (It might be that the display goes weird, losing all formatting as a result. If that happens, you'll need to clear the cache by logging into your admin panel and then Support > Get Support > Clear System Caches.)

I am getting the can't move pages forward/backward issue now. Using Microsoft Edge on the work computer.

I'm on Firefox and it seems to have bitten me, as well.  It never worked on my phone to speak of; now it just doesn't work anywhere.

The issue with most of these problems is the SSL cert being out of day.  Someone with the actual back end password needs to fix it, but I'm not sure that's an actual thing right now.

It's not that in this case, though: the certificate is still valid until March 18, 2024, and was renewed as recently as December 19.

has anyone tried this yet? seems a pretty straightforward fix?

Is anyone else having issues with posts freezing on submitting/saving the post? It seems like they're finalizing, but I'm having to go to a new page on my own to confirm the post submitted.

If your post is going to be on a different page than the one you posted on (like it'll start the next page of the thread) I've found it does that. Otherwise I sometimes get an error message (though not recently) but otherwise no.

I, for one, don't like that the ad algorithm on this board sees me as a late 40's male-identifying wrestling fan and thus has decided I need an Asian or Eastern European mail order bride.  Or prostitute, or whatever.

Mine today have all been right-wing anti-immigrant push polling. *Sighs*
