So I'm very happy that Titus is being recognized as he seems like one helluva person. But yes it is complete bullshit that Lauper isn't in though I'd rather she get the induction in front of a full crowd and not whatever they're gonna do this year. Celebrating Titus for doing great things feels weird when he was nearly fired by Vince for grabbing Vince's arm on screen. Personally, I would have awarded it to Shad and his family. 3

Other alternative, a joint awarding with Mr Brodie Lee as once of the most loved figures in the wrestling business. It's cool that Titus is getting recognised for what he's done. Still shitty the award is named after a homophobic POS and for what he said about Bobby Heenan. Edited March 31, 2021 by The Natural 1
DreamBroken Posted March 31, 2021 Posted March 31, 2021 the Bellas said they were told "3 to 5 minutes" for their speech. my personal favs were always longer speeches in recent years.
NikoBaltimore Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 Hey, they're finally using the award as initially intended! I know nothing about the guy but good for him, just too bad about who the award's named after. 2

hammerva Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 So Brickhouse Brown is a legacy inductee because of his shoot interviews?

hammerva Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 Imagine an induction speech from Buzz sawyer. To quote Gorilla Monsoon: "I'd pay good money to see that"
The Natural Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 Love Molly Holly. Unlike F Hulk Hogan, trending on Twitter and he's taking a kicking. 1
The Natural Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 (edited) Enjoy everyone. Know I will. Molly's one of my favourites ever since he debuted in WCW in 1999 as Miss Madness/Mona. Edited April 7, 2021 by The Natural
Robert S Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 (edited) How is Dr. Death, a guy who was wrestling during the Attitude era, a "legacy wing" candidate? And Buzz Sawyer and Brickhouse Brown were about the same age as he was (all were born in 59 or 60). Hall, Nash and Hogan all were older then they were, Davey Boy was barely younger. hammerva Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 Like the Warrior Award, I assume that the requirements and idea of it changes depending on what Vince or whoever figures this out had for breakfast.
Matt D Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 I'm glad for Boesch getting in. I can't easily explain Brown. I think the Legacy award is basically guys who would not be marketable/recognizable on the main list. Sawyer is a weird choice. I kind of wonder what Taker thinks of that one. They had time. They could create content over a couple of nights. It's a bit of a shame they didn't have people induct. This was the one year where there was no harm in people going long, so of course they don't. That's this company for you.
Curt McGirt Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 Gary never worked in New York, in fact he got blocked by Bruno Sammartino who he had beef with in Detroit. The only thing he ever did was get Ivan Koloff a job down south.
HumanChessgame Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 I didn't think I'd ever say Rob Van Dam had the best speech of the night but here we are. His was the only one that actually sounded like he wrote it himself and had any sort of sincerity.
KidNatural Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 I was wrong, but I don't think much thought was put into the Legacy class. Both Whatley and Brown were the very definition of journeyman and Buzz Sawyer is an odd choice given his history with Undertaker.
For Great Justice Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 Doc being a Legacy Wing inductee is definitely a "shit, I'm getting old" moment for me. Like was said though, I mean his peak was 35 years ago so it's legit. *shakes first at cloud* 2
Curt McGirt Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 At first I thought Doc didn't work for them either then I remembered the Brawl for All. Man, they practically ended his career. I don't know if I'd want to be in their hall of fame or if he just deserves it for what they did to him.
bazzil Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 Is there anyone else who was an active wrestler as recently as Doc whos in the Legacy section?

Seemed a good time to sneak Kamala in as it wouldn’t have gotten much attention/press.
For Great Justice Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 FWIW, Pez has been a highlight of the 1986 WCW rewatches they are doing on Schiavone's pod
