Dolfan in NYC Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 Holy fuck, six in a row! And now we get the first place Ravens. Oh boy, guess we'll see if this is for real at all. 1
sabremike Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 I liked that because I am a mark for sea mammals. Why can't we get a pro/college team named the Fighting Walruses?
Ryan Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 I thought that's what Andy Reid's teams were by default. 2
RIPPA Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 The WSJ is reporting that starting next year the London games will not start earlier (ie: 9:30 AM EST) Mainly because the networks hated it and since the ratings are down for the early morning start, the NFL is going to stop doing it

When the Rams had the 6:30am London game, everyone around here was just happy that we were going to get better 10am & 1pm games and not be stuck watching this awful team. Now that Goff has debuted, and it's the same shitty team with him - no one cares anymore. Awful Announcing had fun article about how both other games on Sunday AND the USC game from the night before all got better ratings than the 10am Rams/Saints game.
Gonzo Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 Today on a conference call, Jeff Fisher cited Danny Woodhead as a major playmaker for the Patriots. Woodhead is on IR. For the Chargers. That's some 7-9 bullshit right there. 4
Sublime Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 and has been a Charger since 2013. LOL he must be studying some real recent game tape on the Pats
Travis Sheldon Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 Pabst Blue Ribbon hasn't been kind to ol' Jeff Fisher. Probably time he switches to Natural Light.
CSC Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 At this point, I wouldn't at all be surprised if Fisher was just tanking because at least 4-12 isn't 7-9.
RIPPA Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 Mike Zimmer had emergency eye surgery and will not coach the Vikings tonight
Dolfan in NYC Posted December 1, 2016 Author Posted December 1, 2016 Gronk is having surgery on his back today to deal with a herniated disc. Out "several weeks", no other timetable given.

Deadspin reminded me about Chris Kluwe's Priefer story: Quote Near the end of November, several teammates and I were walking into a specialist meeting with Coach Priefer. We were laughing over one of the recent articles I had written supporting same-sex marriage rights, and one of my teammates made a joking remark about me leading the Pride parade. As we sat down in our chairs, Mike Priefer, in one of the meanest voices I can ever recall hearing, said: “We should round up all the gays, send them to an island, and then nuke it until it glows.” The room grew intensely quiet, and none of the players said a word for the rest of the meeting. The atmosphere was decidedly tense. I had never had an interaction that hostile with any of my teammates on this issue—some didn’t agree with me, but our conversations were always civil and respectful. Afterward, several told me that what Mike Priefer had said was “messed up.” lovely

Craig H Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 It's tough on the body when you're as awesome as Gronk.
The Man Known as Dan Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 Ever wonder what TE only meetings and conversations were like when Gronk & Hernandez were both there?
sabremike Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 On 11/29/2016 at 8:30 PM, Ryan said: He's multi-talented. He actually just got a gig with The Pietasters.
FluffSnackwell Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 It seems as though the Cowboys are playing down to the level of the Vikings' silly ass Del Bomber tribute uniforms.
Kuetsar Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 You know, relative to the other shitty color rush uniforms, the Vikings ones aren't that bad. . . .
