Burgundy LaRue Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 He can't do it all by himself But he's Captain America! Give him a shield and he's good to go! *whistles Star Spangled Banner* On other news, Vick Ballard goes down with a knee injury and is out for the season for the Colts. Good grief, now Andrew Luck is going to have to rush for a TD every game now.

Death From Above Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 He really is. It's not like they even ran the ball that often or well, which shocked the hell out of me because I figured they'd have to lean on that with such a weak receiver group. But no. Ridley had 40 whole yards and Blount barely had a carry.
Burgundy LaRue Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 This was every play the Pats were on offense. AAARRRGGGHHH! CATCH THE EFFING BALL! I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR CONCRETE HANDS FROM GISELE AGAIN!

Newb82 Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 God, Bills VS Jets next week is going to be like the epic Bills-Browns 6-3 game that Cleveland won despite Derick Anderson completing only 2 passes the whole game, isn't it?
muhammedboehm Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Question is there really no free agent wide out worth it for the pats to pick up?
jaedmc Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Do they need someone to return in order to TAKE THE TOP OFF THE DEFENSE? 1
supremebve Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Do they need someone to return in order to TAKE THE TOP OFF THE DEFENSE? Will they have to pay him, "Straight cash homie?"
RonL21 Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Do they need someone to return in order to TAKE THE TOP OFF THE DEFENSE? Will they have to pay him, "Straight cash homie?" ER'BODY ONE CLAP! 1
Ryan Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 The named receivers sitting at home are Brandon Lloyd, Laurent Robinson, Mohammed Massaquoi, Randy Moss, Steve Breaston, Early Doucet, Michael Jenkins, Donald Jones, Devery Henderson, Deion Branch, Dante' Stallworth, Brandon Banks, Ruvell Martin, Sammie Stroughter and Roscoe Parrish according to ESPN's FA tracker. That's a lot of recent ex-Patriots. Three to be exact. You can also include Moss if you want in that. I wonder how desperate they'd have to get to re-sign Lloyd or Moss.
Sublime Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 It seemed like when they cut Lloyd the door was open for him to come back sometime if they needed him. It was just that they didn't want to pay him the, I think, $3 mil that he was gonna earn this year based on his play from last year. I think he's probably the most likely guy they sign if they take that route, unless he's holding a grudge about being cut.
Ryan Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 No one else is knocking his door down requesting his presence, so I guess it depends how much he wants the money?
Ryan Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 A friend of mine says they asked him last week and he said "No." because he's taking the season off.
Tabe Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Do they need someone to return in order to TAKE THE TOP OFF THE DEFENSE? Will they have to pay him, "Straight cash homie?" ER'BODY ONE CLAP! I'm pissed you beat me to posting this. 1
Burgundy LaRue Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 That is one of the best sports-themed videos ever. Should have won some awards.
Newb82 Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Donald Jones retired (and was presumably cut by the Pats) because he has a kidney disease, so ESPN can take him off that list.
Ryan Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 It's probably automated and it was mostly meant for before the season. Someone over there would have to bother caring.

If your JAX or Arizona, do you offer Ceil Shorts or Fitzgerald to the Pats(assuming the cap would allow it) for some outrageous price like two ones and a two? And if your the Pats would you take it? The answer is no to both most likely, but you would have think about it right?(sorry for the simmons impression)
RIPPA Posted September 13, 2013 Author Posted September 13, 2013 Lloyd had inquires from 6 different teams and turned them all down per PFT PFT then confirmed that the Pats were one of those teams
Brian Fowler Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Man, they should totally sign Steve Breaston. After all, they don't have anybody who is really fast, can't catch, and went to the same school as Tom Terrific.
Niners Fan in CT Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Plus if he catches a touchdown he will do a Scott Hall taunt 1
