JRGoldman
It's weird. At one point in my life, I think Cemetary Man would have been in my top 10 for sure, but I'm pretty sure I ended up leaving it off completely. I don't know how I feel about it now. Death From Above
Lessons of Darkness is so good. Herzog's most underrated film, for me. Me and OJ were very close on where we had it. Desperado is so good it would have made my ballot even without naked Selma Hayek. *adds to viewing queue* Not to be a creeper and all, but really if there's a shortlist of women it's worth going out of your way for this, she's got to be on it. Plus it clearly has guns in it, so I assume nothing can go wrong.
J.T.
Sleepy Hollow gets props for giving Ray Park the opportunity to earn a paycheck and for letting me see Casper Van Diem get cut in half, but I have to admit that I don't like it as much as I used to. Hollinger.
I'm kind of surprised that The American President wasn't on my ballot. Then again, I put it together in like 10 minutes.

Niners Fan in CT
I didn't love it... but I thought it was solid. As for The American President.. I've never seen it. It looks like a film that I should have seen but never did. It's really good?
EricR
I assumed I would be high vote on One False Move, so I love being proven wrong on things like that. I also assumed I liked Contact more than anybody else, but I was beat to the top vote on that as well. And yes, and ex of mine hated that movie more than anybody else I've met (for apparently the same reason a South Park episode I haven't seen or don't remember hates it), because she sat through 2+ hours for "what ends up being an elaborate Power Point presentation." caley
240) LESSONS OF DARKNESS 1992 - 160 Points - 4 Votes (Highest Vote: #38 ohtani's jacket) DIRECTOR: Werner Herzog Placement On Original List: N/A IMDB ROTTEN TOMATOES (100%) WIKI Some just staggering footage on this one (If you don't know, Werner Herzog goes into Iraq and films the burning oil wells, then edits the footage into a narrative from the viewpoint of a sort-of alien coming across these scenes). This is about as experimental as I get these days, but the footage is just staggering, like getting a guided tour of hell. 237) BEAUTIFUL GIRLS 1996 - 162 Points - 3 Votes (Highest Vote: #28 Hollinger) DIRECTOR: Ted Demme STARRING: Matt Dillon, Timothy Hutton, Noah Emmerich Placement On Original List: #161 (3 Votes) IMDB ROTTEN TOMATOES (78%) WIKI NOTE FROM RIPPA - Another one bites the dust as Hollinger takes the Top Vote Crown from Caley (who was high vote last time) This movie is so good, and so real, and so, so sad. I hadn't rewatched it before the countdown, hence why I dropped it some, but when the main guy basically finds his soulmate in a 14-year-old girl then has to say goodbye to her it's so good and sad (And not creepy at all, which is how it sounds when I describe it). Plus that cast: Dillon, Hutton, Emmerich, Natalie Portman, Michael Rappaport, Martha Plimpton, Lauren Holly, Uma Thurman, Mira Sorivno, Pruitt Taylor Vance, Annabeth Gish, and even not-annoying performances from Rosie O'Donnell and David Arquette! It's really good?If you like The West Wing and/or Aaron Sorkin you will enjoy it.For all intents and purposes - it is Sorkin's test balloon for The West Wing (which is part of the reason that Martin Sheen as Chief of Staff instead of President is a bit of a mind fuck)
