JLSigman Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Of course the Panthers have a big play ruined by an unsportsmanlike penalty Wouldn't be a Panthers game without it. :-p
RIPPA Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Julius Thomas fractures his hand - is out for the rest of the preseason And I got my penance for mocking the Skins and their injuries as the Giants already pathetic secondary had THREE injuries last night - including a possible Achilles tear EDIT - Excuse me - FOUR
dogwelder Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Bears WR Kevin White needs shin surgery. Out for at least the first 6 games and maybe the entire season.
Gonzo Posted August 16, 2015 Author Posted August 16, 2015 And your (insert sponsor here) season-ending injury of the day belongs to Vikings right tackle Phil Loadholt, who tore his achilles on the second play of tonight's game. Damn it.
Death From Above Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Congrats to Phillip Rivers on getting an extension so large his kids will all be able to afford college. 2
FireThunder Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Congrats to Phillip Rivers on getting an extension so large his kids will all be able to afford college. I'm glad that he's ready to move to LA.
Kuetsar Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 I think when it all settles out, SD will remain there. Have no proof, but the Raiders and Rams seem to be more likely and there is no way three teams and in the market. I'm rarely right about this stuff though. . . .
Lawful Metal Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 I think Tom Savage should start for the Texans
RIPPA Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Philip Rivers signs 4 year extension with a guaranteed $65 million
Vincey Greene Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 I am watching the 4th quarter of an Eagles preseason game. I need to fix my life. 1
RIPPA Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Oh Good Fucking Christ The Giants signed Brandon Merriweather HEAD HUNTING FOR EVERYONE!
Josh Mann Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Oh no, this ESPN/NFLN circle jerk over a QBR under 70 against a taxi squad is a thing that's happening.
muhammedboehm Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Oh no, this ESPN/NFLN circle jerk over a QBR under 70 against a taxi squad is a thing that's happening. Who/What/Where/When/Why/How?
Ryan Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Tebus 3:16 - I can dive head-first coach, just put me in!
Kuetsar Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I guess this could go in the stupidity thread, but apparently both sides in the BUF-CLE joint practices are expecting some "excitement". MIke Pettine started the talking, and Rex is having none of that shit. . . http://espn.go.com/blog/buffalo-bills/post/_/id/20083/rex-ryan-bills-not-going-to-be-bullied-by-browns-in-joint-practices
APO Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I think Tom Savage should start for the Texans Planning on going 0-16, eh?
Ryan Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 How is that any different than what they're going to do with the other QB's they have?
Death From Above Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 It's a little more blatant like the year Peyton Manning got hurt and they decided to replace him with a random man in a football Halloween costume because it was the Luck draft year to take advantage of the NFL having no lottery system.
Craig H Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 To be fair, the Colts never had anything close to a good backup for Manning and Polian never planned on Manning missing an entire season. Every facet of that team was a disaster, except for Reggie Wayne. The defense was shit, Painter was shit, etc. That's why you had such a ridiculous turnover from one year to the next. The Suck for Luck stuff was fun, but it was just a way to cope with a losing season. Even with Manning under center, that team wins a few more games. Having a better backup QB wouldn't have changed anything.
DEAN Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Virginia area qbs are filling in the ranks this pre-seaon. Logan Thomas from Tech looks better with the cards than he ever looked at Tech. Tyrod Taylor looks like he could stick with the Bills. Taylor Heinicke from fricking ODU (which is the NEW Quarterback Cradle of the Mid-Atlantic! 2 in the PROS! Out of 2 quarterbacks to ever start!) is playing a lot for the Vikings. If he doesn't stick, he will definately be on the Texans practice squad when they eventually sign Michael Vick to replace all the soon-to-be-crippled quarterbacks currently on their roster. And Winston-Salem States Phillip Simms (from my alma mater, Oscar Smith, in Chesapeake) won't catch on with the Cardinals prolly, but is sooo starting for the Blue-Bombers or Roughriders in 2 years. 1
RIPPA Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Fuck sticking - there is a good chance Tyrod Taylor is going to be the Bills starting QB 3
