Tabe Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 I gotta say, despite what will probably be a loss, Jimmy Clausen played really well today. As Giselle would say, he can't throw it AND catch it. His receivers have been absolutely brutal today.
Vincey Greene Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Also, looks like next week's Atlanta/Carolina game is for alllllllllllllll the marbles. There will be a lot of drinking for a Sunday night, either way.
Death From Above Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 I can't wait to see what the animal gif is we get for that Dolphins fumble. It's going to have to be a doozy.
Shadow Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 No matter how shit this season has been, being able to have meaningful football week 17 is all you can ask for. NFC South Title Game here we come!
Niners Fan in CT Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Let's rename the NFC South title game to Conference USA. Seriously though, I would give either team a chance for a W in the wild card round.

Vincey Greene Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 I don't see it happening at all - let's be clear - but between Atlanta having a really good offense when they're on and Carolina seemingly getting hot (enough) at the right time, I wouldn't be stunned to see either of them go far. I really wouldn't. Football is fluky.
BobbyWhioux Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 I am thoroughly convinced the NFC South Champion will somehow defeat their superior Wild Card Opponent. The Lions regress, the Cardinals turn back into a pumpkin, Sanchez Butt Fumble Bonanza for Philly, something. This is completely devoid of all logic or sense and yet I feel it.

I really wouldn't. Football is fluky. I don't know about going far but the last time an under .500 team made the playoffs (it was either Seattle or Arizona, I'm blanking on which), I do recall they won their Wild Card game so I expect the South winner to win one for pride. Like Marcellus Wallace told Butchy, pride is a tricky thing.
Niners Fan in CT Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Dolphins have officially been eliminated. Come join me.
Niners Fan in CT Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 It was the Seahawks who went 7-9 and they beat the Saints on a crazy run from Lynch.

Jerry Hattrick Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Wasn't it the Arizona team that faced Pittsburgh in the super bowl? 7-9 at that. Never mind. Apparently I'm wrong.
evilwaldo Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Do the Browns have a third string? The Panthers seem to be on a mission to kill Hoyer. . . I believe that would be the Browns Oline trying to get their QB killed. 1
Niners Fan in CT Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 I think that Arizona team was 9-7 but they were very dangerous with Warner throwing to Fitzgerald, Boldin and Breaston. I think they eliminated Carolina that year on the infamous Jake Delhomme 6 int game.
Raziel Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Spending a season watching JJ Watt, and he's a fucking beast, really. I don't think I've seen a D-End as good in over a decade.
Dewar Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Miami is going to win off a blocked punt for a safety against Minnesota. What a bizzare game.
Burgundy LaRue Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Dolphins go into EPIC SAFETY MODE! Tis for nothing, though. No playoff soup for the Fish.
Raziel Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 I am rooting hard for the Colts right now. And for Romo to remember its December. EDIT:Aw fuck, this is gonna be one of those games, fucking refs. That taunting rule is such bullshit.
Tabe Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Nah, the rule is a good one and it was the right call.
Lawful Metal Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Texans crush Kubiak in his return to Houston, get Keenum his first win, and clinch a non-losing record for Bill O'Brien. As for the playoffs, so you're saying there's a chance. Also, JJ Watt is God.
Raziel Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Fake punt would've worked for the Colts... if McDonald could've fucking caught the ball.
