Niners Fan in CT Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 That's nice but he really only ran in a straight line. He's just so quick. Kaepernick does the same thing against the Chargers just last week for 90 yards. He's done it a number of times.
ebbie Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Is "could the highest paid offensive player in the league get the start because the guy who took his job in the first place got hurt" an only in America saying?
Death From Above Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 In a couple years it will apply to Wayne Rooney and his £300K a week at Manchester United. 1

pipGofern Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Wow, I thought yesterday's Steeler game had the worst refs ever - I turn on tonight's game and see one of the most atrocious calls possible.
Tabe Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Peyton throws a pick six to probably clinch the game for Cincinnati and Tirico & Gruden dislocate every joint in their bodies contorting themselves into blaming the receiver instead of Manning. Never mind that the guy was never open, that Peyton threw while backpedaling despite no pass pressure, and that Peyton put nothing on the ball. No, despite all that, the pick was in no way Peyton's fault.
Death From Above Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Cold Weather Peyton vs. Prime Time Bengals The Do Not Want Bowl Really weird game. Lots of mistakes for both teams.
Niners Fan in CT Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 I'd like it if Dalton doesn't crap himself in the playoffs. Bengals are a fun team.
Brian Fowler Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 That Bengals/Steelers game next week might be the most unpredictable game in NFL history. Both teams are so damn schizophrenic.
Tabe Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Wow, I thought yesterday's Steeler game had the worst refs ever - I turn on tonight's game and see one of the most atrocious calls possible. What call(s) are you referring to?
pipGofern Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 The facemask call that wiped out the 30 yard pass to Thomas.
Tabe Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 The facemask call that wiped out the 30 yard pass to Thomas.LOL. He grabbed the guy's facemask and pulled his head down. That was an EXCELLENT call.
pipGofern Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Oh I didn't see it. I just saw the DB practically grab the jersey off Thomas's back.
Hail Sabin Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Peyton throws a pick six to probably clinch the game for Cincinnati and Tirico & Gruden dislocate every joint in their bodies contorting themselves into blaming the receiver instead of Manning. No, despite all that, the pick was in no way Peyton's fault. Yeah Gruden always sucks the QB dick when he calls a game and really sucks it good when it's one of the golden QBs of the league but no one sucks a QB's dick like Joe fucking Theismann he was porn star level good at it. 1
Tabe Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 What this showed me, and I'm sure I'm way behind the curve on this, is that Peyton no longer has a fastball. Problem is, he thinks he does. The ball that Jones picked off is a great example of that. Peyton thought he had the arm to get the ball there and, well, he doesn't.
Kevin Wilson Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 My dad is a big Manning fan, even switched teams he rooted for when he went to Denver. I told him last night to enjoy watching Manning because I don't think he will be watching him much longer. Manning doesn't seem like the type that would hang around if he is not performing at his usual high level, and the last half season he has had more bad games than good. Don't get me wrong, current-level Manning is still better than 90% of the QBs in the league, I'd take him in a heartbeat for the Bills, but I don't think when Manning watches the tape he will be satisfied with his current abilities. I guess we will see. I'm not sure if it is injuries catching up to him or just getting old, but he doesn't have the precision and zip he did even earlier this year.
Vincey Greene Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 I am fairly sure that Peyton is physically Cap Rooney at this point.
Brian Fowler Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 What this showed me, and I'm sure I'm way behind the curve on this, is that Peyton no longer has a fastball. Problem is, he thinks he does. The ball that Jones picked off is a great example of that. Peyton thought he had the arm to get the ball there and, well, he doesn't. The first few games of his first year and Denver, that looked like the case, but then he bounced back (or adjusted) but the back half of this season, he's been merely a good starting QB, and not Peyton Goddamn Manning. It just kinda happened as this year wore on, he started the year looking still great (and Denver looked like the team to beat with that revamped defense) but gradually he's looked worse and worse. I really hope it's not his neck again.
