E.J. Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Jim Nantz and Phil Simms going at it. This game must be awful to call.
Death From Above Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Even worse imagine having to argue with Phil Simms and his history of concussions stutter stutter words noises kitten cheese rainbow tackle shiny rocks.
elizium Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 I am not sure what kind of point Simms was trying to make about pro days, but I find it funny they've been talking about Bridgewater like he's in the game.
pipGofern Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 I had a feeling being forced to do two games together per week, one of them would eventually snap.
jaedmc Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 http://espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/story/_/id/11626814/nfl-sets-dates-2015-draft Jae will the Bears fans bring the heat? If by "bring the heat", you mean chant "CM Punk at Roger Goodell and really everyone else that hops up on stage" - yeah, sure. 1
Gonzo Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Football is way more awesome when your team has a quarterback. Ah, well. . .2-3 is better than where most expected the Vikings to be after their first 5 games. Teddy comes back next week. No reason to panic.
Hail Sabin Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 With Teddy the game would have been very different but we will probably face him later in the season up in the twin cities. Eddie Lacy finally had a great game and our defense looked good at times with forcing a couple turnovers hopefully they can build on it.
Ryan Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 I expect them to trade for Joe Webb and move him back to QB by the time the Packers head to Minnesota.
JimBob Skeeter Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 With Teddy the game would have been very different but we will probably face him later in the season up in the twin cities. Eddie Lacy finally had a great game and our defense looked good at times with forcing a couple turnovers hopefully they can build on it. FORCE a couple of turnovers? I think Ponder did all that by himself.

RIPPA Posted October 3, 2014 Author Posted October 3, 2014 Broncos released Matt Prater who was coming off his 4 game suspension Aww... if this was a week earlier, he would have been a Lion

I think Ponder did all that by himself. The 2nd pick was Ponder being nervous about the pass rush hitting him every play but the 1st pick that Peppers returned for a TD was because the nose tackle hit Ponder's arm when he was throwing the ball.
Kuetsar Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 http://espn.go.com/blog/new-orleans-saints/post/_/id/10180/byrds-loss-cant-be-overstated-but-saints-can-only-get-better Looks like the Saints signing of Jarius Byrd won't pay off, this season, at least. . . .
Cole Miner Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 DISTRIBUTION MAPS Brutal afternoon. No Fox game and giving us NYJ vs SD rather than KC vs SF. Please just stop already NFL/CBS with pretending the Jets are the local AFC team here.
Kevin Wilson Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 http://espn.go.com/blog/new-orleans-saints/post/_/id/10180/byrds-loss-cant-be-overstated-but-saints-can-only-get-better Looks like the Saints signing of Jarius Byrd won't pay off, this season, at least. . . . Probably not any season, his deal was one of those 'after a few years we cut you or restructure' type of deals. Hell he has a 6 million dollar roster bonus next year, if the Saints tank and they blow the team up he may not be back at all. They got him with a 'win now, worry about the cap later' mentality which doesn't appear it will work for them. I don't blame the guy for getting paid, it just seemed like the Saints could have spent the money better looking at how they have been playing and what they gave up.
hammerva Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 To add to the misery of being a DC sports fan, there is the added delusion of reports that SuperBob will come back from injury in the October 27th game against the Cowboys. Before the bye week. Yeah some people never learn from their mistakes
dogwelder Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 At least the Caps start the regular season this week. And there's always the Wiz too. I'm just hoping that the Skins can keep it within 3 TDs tomorrow night. Although I'll be watching RAW; no matter how bad the WWE is right now, it's light years ahead of trying to stomach the Skins during a night game.
RIPPA Posted October 5, 2014 Author Posted October 5, 2014 Michael Winslow??? Really??? It's not 1988 Fox
RIPPA Posted October 5, 2014 Author Posted October 5, 2014 Okay Giants - please don't ruin my weekend
jaedmc Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Man, lots of cheering for the Bears when they stop the Panthers. Are there any Carolina fans outside of the couple on this board?
JLSigman Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Well, if the Bears wanna play stupid, I can live with that
Brian Fowler Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Fuck yo Bills. I desperately need a good sports day
Cole Miner Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Blocked punt TDs two weeks in a row. I'm not sure about the rest of the team but at least the special teams keep delivering.
