odessasteps Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Heads up y'all: Detroit has the #1 defense in the NFL. Now that i have given up on football, i expect the lions to win playoff games.
muhammedboehm Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 I have one word way the NFL will never be able to put a team in London that word is Felony 1
JLSigman Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Mike Tolbert - hairline fracture/bone bruise in his left leg below his knee and is expected to miss at least a month. Tolbert was placed on short term IR... and to fill his spot the Panthers signed.... a linebacker.... So the thought is they believe Deangelo Williams will be ready to play We're fine, everything's fine here, why would you think we're not fine. *internal screaming* 1
Dolfan in NYC Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Jesus, this may belong in the NFL Stupidity thread, but... 911 calls say Rob Bironas was threatening to kill another driver right before his death.
RIPPA Posted September 24, 2014 Author Posted September 24, 2014 Vikings place Matt Cassel on season ending IR So it's all Teddy Bridgewater now
Sammy Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Vikings place Matt Cassel on season ending IR So it's all Teddy Bridgewater now I can't wait to see Christian Ponder again. 1
Josh Mann Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 So apparently the land that Dolphins Stadium is built on was, once upon a time, literally a Native burial ground. It all becomes clear now.
Burgundy LaRue Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Everyone, slowly back away from Josh and Dolfan. There's a bad moon rising over them! And they'll pass it over to your favorite team! *plays Voodoo Child while running toward the exit* 1
Vincey Greene Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 So Dolphin fans, what do you think of the rumours they're gonna bench (and theoretically, move on from) Tannehill? I'm personally of the mind he's been fine although I don't watch a ton of their games. Not great, but fine. Worse QBs in better situations have gotten move time. What's the feeling?
Josh Mann Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 I think he hasn't been good this year, but I don't think he's at scapegoat level yet. New offense, new line, uncertainty at running back, drops, etc. Tannehill is part of the reason they're 1-2 but he's not all of them. 1
Kuetsar Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 So apparently the land that Dolphins Stadium is built on was, once upon a time, literally a Native burial ground. It all becomes clear now. Not to be a dick, but what happened now?
Cole Miner Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 I think he hasn't been good this year, but I don't think he's at scapegoat level yet. It doesn't take much these days. Sam Bradford was on pace for around 3,500 yards 30 tds and 9 interceptions last year. Yet most of what you read about him was why didn't they move on from him. Reading now the story about Morris Claiborne walking out. Not sure why it took so long to bench him. He was the worst cornerback I have ever seen in a game during his rookie season. Neck and neck with Winston Justice for worst performances ever in games I've watched.
Niners Fan in CT Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Dee Milliner was pretty awful his rookie season wasn't he? Actually, that may have just been the first half of the year that was rough for him. I remember Jets fans complaining a ton.
muhammedboehm Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Dee's problem is he can't stay on the field
TimLivingston Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Boomstick lowered on Simmons. Three weeks worth. http://awfulannouncing.com/2014/espn-suspends-bill-simmons-three-weeks-roger-goodell-comments.html
Vincey Greene Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 I don't particularly have an opinion on Simmons, but is he at all wrong?
Dewar Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Milliner has had flashes of brilliance with the Jets, but too often gets beaten easily. I complain about him at least a few time every game.
Death From Above Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Simmons got suspended for three times as long as the dude that showed a random stranger his penis, if there was any doubt about ESPN being complete scum. 2
sydneybrown Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Simmons got suspended for three times as long as the dude that showed a random stranger his penis, if there was any doubt about ESPN being complete scum. So beating your wife without video proof gets you a two weeks suspension. Talking about how that's complete bullshit gets you a three week suspension.
Raziel Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 To be fair, he dared ESPN to suspend him. Doesn't matter that Keith "I've become a ratings sellout" Olberman said the same things, he didn't date the four letter to take action for saying it. I hate ESPN, but they're kinda right in this.
Niners Fan in CT Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 I still don't quite get it. He dared them to suspend him for saying things that should be acceptable to say and they suspended him for it. Whaaa
Burgundy LaRue Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 The suspension is stupid at its core, but ESPN didn't have much choice. If your employee dares you to suspend them, you do it. Thing is, Simmons will turn himself into a martyr for it.
evilwaldo Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 I don't particularly have an opinion on Simmons, but is he at all wrong? I don't see how he is wrong. Everyone knows that Goodell and the NFL are not being truthful. Their narrative has more holes than swiss cheese but I bet there was a huge discussion behind the scenes before the podcast. He may be doing this for publicity as well but it needed to be said.
