Gonzo Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Or it could be a work and he picked under a hood as the Midnight Sports Guy. The judges also would have accepted "El Tipo de los Deportes."
RIPPA Posted September 28, 2014 Author Posted September 28, 2014 Reports are that the Lions know they are going to lose Ndamukong Suh to FA. Suh supposedly wants to play in NY (but the "sources" didn't clarify which team) Poor poor Fowler
Brian Fowler Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 There is no way to keep him, really. His franchise tag number would be insane.
Tabe Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 I'm not real sure why this is being reported, other than Detroit playing New York this week. His departure has been a foregone conclusion since, well, forever.
JLSigman Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 NFL on FOX had a good point about the brouhaha about the overtime rule: if it hadn't been Peyton Manning complaining, no one would have given a shit.

JLSigman Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 ....It's the last SUNDAY in September, not the last DAY, Gumbel. (sigh)
Kuetsar Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 NFL on FOX had a good point about the brouhaha about the overtime rule: if it hadn't been Peyton Manning complaining, no one would have given a shit. There was a controversy over the overtime rule? I mean its bad enough Peter King finally won the change to the wimpy rule we have now, so what are they complaining about now?

Man, two weeks ago, I would have thrown a Toronto joke to drown my pain here.... 1
Kuetsar Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 No offense Jae, but those orange number Bears jerseys are awful.
JLSigman Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 (IE won't let me quote a reply, WTF?) Keuestar, the "controversy" is that Peyton Manning was pissed off that he didn't get a chance at the ball during overtime. Jimmy Johnson had the right point: a team is not just the QB. If the defense had done it's job, he would've got his chance.
Kuetsar Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 OMG. See this is why they need to go back to the "sudden death" rule. . .
JLSigman Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 And the Panthers start the stupid penalties early, wiping out his first down run by having 12 men on the field.
RIPPA Posted September 28, 2014 Author Posted September 28, 2014 Well this week is already going better for the Bucs
Brian Fowler Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 They need to do the college rule for overtime. Sure, it's stupid and goofy and only kinda resembles football, but it's damn exciting.
Kuetsar Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Well this week is already going better for the Bucs Would have been hard to be worse.
Brian Fowler Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Oh, and, apparently, the New York Jets o-line can just push the dominant Lions d-line around like tissue paper. Of course.
RIPPA Posted September 28, 2014 Author Posted September 28, 2014 And the Panthers start the stupid penalties early, wiping out his first down run by having 12 men on the field. Well the Bears just did it too so don't feel so bad
BobbyWhioux Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 NFL on FOX had a good point about the brouhaha about the overtime rule: if it hadn't been Peyton Manning complaining, no one would have given a shit. And it was only our curious reverence for Favre that led to the change in the first place Prior to that we were for decades just fine with teams getting "screwed" by conceding a field goal on the opening drive.
RIPPA Posted September 28, 2014 Author Posted September 28, 2014 I kinda enjoy that the Panthers have one healthy RB and Rivera is going to make sure to overwork him by the end of the 1st Quarter
RIPPA Posted September 28, 2014 Author Posted September 28, 2014 Either London loves the Raiders or TDs in general. Either way they were happy on that play
BobbyWhioux Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Good lord was that an actual opening drive passing TD by the Raiders? I mean, it's early on a Sunday morning, I could just be hallucinating that while half-asleep. Would like some independent second-source confirmation on this. Oh and a 15 yard penalty on the PAT for headbutting. Okay I guess it's a real Raider TD
johnnyboy Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 We do love a touchdown. Baby Carr looking good.
RIPPA Posted September 28, 2014 Author Posted September 28, 2014 Whoever got called for that penalty on the PAT would fit right in on the Skins special teams too
jaedmc Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 No offense Jae, but those orange number Bears jerseys are awful. I'm not a huge fan. My least favorite are the bright orange jerseys. Those suck.
