RIPPA Posted October 20 Posted October 20 Carolina went for it on 4th and 1 from their own 38, didn’t get it and then immediately gave up a TD They better not take the QB the Giants want
RIPPA Posted October 20 Posted October 20 Browns pretty much confirm that Watson is out for the season 1
BloodyChamp Posted October 20 Posted October 20 Most quarterbacks throw INTs in games before Goff or Darnold throw incompletions, and this is 2024. They’re run first teams but they still throw it a lot. Aiyuk officially sucks. That last play there’s no arguing it now.
dogwelder Posted October 20 Posted October 20 Washington could probably let Mariota rest in the second half and still win
dogwelder Posted October 20 Posted October 20 Even with Washington beating Carolina 40-7 they didn't hit the over (50.5)
BloodyChamp Posted October 20 Posted October 20 I respect Mahomes but they just said that was the longest run of his career. Ok…it was the longest run of his career because he appeared to give himself up, and the 49ers appeared to then quit. Then he continued to walk down the sidelines. The 49ers of course didn’t dare react to that because they would have been flagged. That’s not this whole era of football in a nutshell but it’s every record that’s broken in a nutshell IMO.
dogwelder Posted October 20 Posted October 20 I don't think I've heard anyone call the red zone 'the red area' until Brady
BloodyChamp Posted October 20 Posted October 20 I can’t even tell it’s Brady on commentary sometimes because he sounds so…normal lol! He’s a solid color guy. It will always be hard for people to admit I know. 1
Cobra Commander Posted October 20 Posted October 20 Chiefs actually leading a team by double digits although that could still change
BobbyWhioux Posted October 20 Posted October 20 I am weary of seeing Mahomes for pretty much all the same reasons I was weary of seeing Hogan. 1

LOL dannnnnnng at least Mahomes is earning it, outside of trash like that “record” run he had. I also maintain that things will streamline here soon. The Chiefs will lose a game or 6 and the teams that have lost a few will start winning. That might not include the 49ers at this point though, unless you want to count them in a postLegion of Boom Seahawks kind of way where they always make the playoffs but never really contend.
hammerva Posted October 21 Posted October 21 Listening to Browns players standing up for Deshaun Watson even calling him a "model citizen" doesn't really paint a good picture of what NFL players think of women 8
hammerva Posted October 21 Posted October 21 Russell Wilson had a really good first drive but since then has been embarrassing. There is no way you can look at him so far and say he is an improvement over Fields
BloodyChamp Posted October 21 Posted October 21 Those last 2 throws wow. If they don’t want to bench him they need to just fake the injury lol! Also I haven’t been all over this Watson thing but I did see what Garrett and Winston had to say. They’re just as big a slimeballs as he is and I guess slimeballs stick together. I definitely know Winston will stick by him. He’s the type who respects a guy like Watson for getting away with slimy crap, and wishes he could do it.
BloodyChamp Posted October 21 Posted October 21 But anyway I hope the Steelers so something because if they don’t Cris Collinsworth is going to run out of excuses, but even then he won’t shut up. If he can’t think of anything else to say I am confident that he will just say that if Russell Wilson or Mike Tomlin would let him, he would lick their poop holes. Between that or going 2 seconds without slobbering over them he’d choose that.
Brian Fowler Posted October 21 Posted October 21 George Pickens with the most insane catch, non-acrobatic category you'll see. Collinsworth immediately gives the credit to Russell Wilson who, uh, under threw the ball into coverage. I don't get it, Chris, you were a fucking wide receiver, give the man some props.

Pickens has redeemed himself this game wow. He is pulling everything down and that was an even better catch by the other guy. Wilson missed all of those throws and they were being interfered with. That’s might have been the 4 best catches in a row ever. 1
Kevin Wilson Posted October 21 Posted October 21 The media's obsession with Rodgers and him getting his best buddy back when WR wasn't their big issue in the first place makes me very happy the Jets are losing (well I'm always happy when the Jets lose but it makes me more happy). NBC kept showing Adams just randomly when the Steelers did something on offense like he's Taylor Swift or something. 1
BloodyChamp Posted October 21 Posted October 21 And he looked like he looks in the Taco Bell commercial.
StuntmanCrowley Posted October 21 Posted October 21 To quote Drew McIntyre "I prayed for this, and it happened" (regarding Watson) 2
paragon11 Posted October 21 Posted October 21 I know the Patriots are a bad football team, but I don't think Jerod Mayo is cut out to be a head coach, which is a shame because I really liked him as a player. Calling the team you coach "soft" at the post game press conference certainly is a choice. He also seems to blame anyone and everyone but himself for some of the shortcomings. That's a great way to get players to not want to play for you. If you think the team is soft, that's on you. What makes it worse is if Belichick did this, the Boston sports media would crucify him. But since Mayo is so forthcoming to them, they treat him with kid gloves. It's nauseating. 1
hammerva Posted October 21 Posted October 21 As much as I enjoyed seeing Beanie Bishop have a great time and make Rodgers life hell, if I had to hear Collingsworth trying to make "Beanie Baby" a thing one more time I might have needed a new TV 2
Dolfan in NYC Posted October 21 Author Posted October 21 a) I'm not sure if Rex understands or remembers that the Jets fired him. b) He's not wrong.
supremebve Posted October 21 Posted October 21 (edited) I mean, Myles Garrett's comments were ill-timed, but kinda true. He has been a model citizen for most of his career. Most is working an 168 hour week in that sentence. I do understand why his teammates don't appreciate his injury being cheered. This is the absolute worst signing ever. If he came back from this Achilles tear, turned into the love child of Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes and won multiple Super Bowls, this would still be the worst signing ever. It's very easy to blame the Browns, who are absolutely to blame for the contract, but the only reason he got the contract is because there was such a huge bidding war to sign Watson. Multiple teams were willing to make this same exact mistake. It's not just that he is a fucking pervert. He's a pervert who has been the worst quarterback in Cleveland Browns history. I want you to read that sentence, and go back in your mind and think about the history of Browns quarterbacking...I'll pause for a second and let you think. … … … How the fuck can you possibly pay a pervert that contract only for him to play like a poor man's Brandon Weeden? He's played less than 40% of the games. He's been awful in pretty much all the games he's played. He literally would have had to kill someone for this to be worse. Oh, and I had a friend ask me how I felt about the injury, and this is what I sent back. https://youtu.be/mUlpHM19Yzc?si=3dM9s4rZJrvoYL1P Edited October 21 by supremebve 1
