Travis Sheldon Posted October 21 Posted October 21 Please stop calling Watson a pervert, that gives perverts like me a bad name. He's a sex pest. Hopefully only roaches and vermin will be offended. 1 2

Hopefully only roaches and vermin will be offended. Listen as someone who is a pervert in as many consensual situations as possible, I kind of agree. I call him a pervert, because before about a month ago, calling him a rapist was actually a step too far. The majority of his accusations were him being the worst type of pervert, but not quite a rapist. He was like hovering his foot over the pool without actually dipping his toe in. I am a stickler for accuracy in this type of shit, but if the latest accusation is true I think rapist is a valid title. We could just call him an unrepentant piece of shit, but I've been calling him a pervert for about 4 years straight as force of habit. Sex pest doesn't sound nearly bad enough. A sex pest is something a wife might jokingly call her horny husband. In all seriousness though, one of the darkest parts of Watson's "crimes" is that he seemed to know exactly how far he could go and not end up being charged with a crime. It was all incredibly disgusting behavior that everyone on earth would agree was wrong, but legally not actually a crime. The language isn't flexible enough to actually call him what he is in one word. I honestly think this is worse than what any of us realize based on the fact that there is a way to do this without the skullduggery. If he was going to masseuses who actually offered the "services" he was interested in receiving we probably would have never heard about this. He has the money and the influence to have them come to his house, do what he wants, and go home without saying a word. This is something that one of us could probably arrange by the end of the day with proper motivation. He intentionally didn't do that, he found women masseuses who were nothing but masseuses, and then decided to put them into his fucked up sexual fantasy against their will. That is truly depraved, and only about a step away from Darren Sharper who decided to drug and rape a bunch of women who had every intention on having sex with him willingly. 4
hammerva Posted October 21 Posted October 21 i prefer using the Bomani Jones term just calling the nasty man 2
JLSigman Posted October 21 Posted October 21 Karma got him - his Achilles asploded and he's out for the season https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5860484/2024/10/21/deshaun-watson-injury-achilles-season-ending-browns/ 3
Dolfan in NYC Posted October 21 Author Posted October 21 Looked this up again after the injury... Now, this is offset by the insurance claim that Cleveland has already filed. That alleviates about $18m off the cap for DeShaun. IF for some reason he can't play next year, that helps them a lot, and if the NFL puts him on the exception list again (they're meeting with the new accuser this week) they can void at almost no penalty. And these numbers all change if he's a post 6/1/25 cut too I think. Basically, Cleveland has to cut or trade him and eat a LOT of cap OR pray for him to get suspended again and void the contract immediately. My guess is barring a miracle and voiding, grabbing Shedeur Sanders or Cam Ward is the probable answer.
RIPPA Posted October 21 Posted October 21 The Dolphins are designating Tua for return from IR He still has to pass concussion protocol but they hope he will play Sunday
Tabe Posted October 21 Posted October 21 Over their last four games, the Detroit Lions have more offensive touchdowns (18) than incompletions (16). First time that has ever happened since the merger. 1
RIPPA Posted October 22 Posted October 22 In need of a healthy QB, the Raiders are signing Desmond Ridder off of the Cardinals practice squad
odessasteps Posted October 22 Posted October 22 Thinga ar work are about to slow down for 3 hours or so.
supremebve Posted October 22 Posted October 22 So, the season is about half over. Lamar Jackson is easily the best player in the NFL this season. Derrick Henry might be second. 2
Kevin Wilson Posted October 22 Posted October 22 The only issue the Ravens have is sometimes taking the foot off the gas too much. We saw it against the Raiders and they let the Cowboys and the Bucs make their games look reasonably close (even though it shouldn't have been). But their offense when 'on' is hard to stop. 1
Cobra Commander Posted October 22 Posted October 22 was the game banished to ESPN+ actually the more interesting of the two MNF games?

I thought the first half of Ravens/Bucs was really good, it just got out of hand towards the end of the 3rd. The banished game was close but I don't know if the action was actually good or not.
Tabe Posted October 22 Posted October 22 Jameson Williams is apparently being suspended 2 games for a PED violation.
