Nick Chubb will be making his season debut this week.  I really wish he was coming back to a team that was a Nick Chubb away, but he's coming back to a team that defenses have no reason whatsoever to respect the pass.  Even if he's pre-injury Nick Chubb he's coming into the worst situation for a running back possible.  The lesson as always, if you have a chance to sign a pervert to an unprecedented contract, don't.

If you haven't seen his press conference where he met with the media, you should. His teammates interrupted to hype up his return. It's pretty wholesome.

Honestly, Nick Chubb is my favorite Brown since Bernie Kosar.  I've rooted for this piece of shit team since the 80s, and he's been fucking awesome since he got drafted.  I hope he can make a full recovery from the knee injury, but he's already on my Browns Mount Rushmore.

yeesh.  Both starting linebackers, starting CB2 and starting safety (although to be honest Jimmie's always injured and Calen Bullock has been ballin).  Get used to hearing the name Neville Hewitt who's the special teams ace and hits like a truck but probably couldn't cover anyone with a blanket.  I don't even know who Jake Hansen is.

If appears Russell Wilson is gonna start for the Steelers because if Mike Tomlin won't confirm it, George Pickens will

Chubb’s promo being crashed is alltime great stuff. It stinks for all those guys what might happen for it. That was an alltime display of strong character and unbroken spirit.

The Steelers and Jets could be the new alltime SNF trainwreck game. It seriously could top the Buttfumble and Rodgers vs NFCW games combined.

Lions vs Vikings in a 90s flavored divisional showdown, SB rematch, and of course the Bengals and Browns. That’s always good for some kind of meme stuff Chubbs aside. This is the first epic week of the year perhaps.

Basically it appears that the Jets agreed to waive the $12 million in fines if Reddick reported and honored the remainder of his contract

Albert Breer is reporting he'll have to earn it back. Apparently the Jets can't waive the fines (per him) so they updated the contact so he can earn money via sack incentives, play incentives, etc.  Others aren't reporting that so we'll see what the "final" report is on it.

Schefter updated his story to say the same thing - including the note that the team just can't waive the fine

I know the NFL doesn't really care but at some point an independent group should do a study on the fairness of the Jags having two straight games in England. Last year of course I remember because their second game was against the Bills but again today they are doing very well against New England. I don't just mean evaluating by the final score of course but looking at how the travel impacts the players, not just their energy but how much practice time they get, their injury recovery/treatments, their weekly routine, etc.  I think both the Bills and Pats flew in Friday before the games, with different sleep specialist advising the best time to go to adjust to jet lag and the five hour time difference.

I know they are pros and can adjust but I just can't see how its not a controllable advantage for Jacksonville to play a second straight London game while the other team has to fly over. If it doesn't matter and I'm wrong, that's fine but I'd like a better study done than just my eyeballs and brain mulling it over.

Which he can conveniently be benched or put on IR to be prevented from hitting and so still owe the money.

I feel like both sides know everyone is watching and both sides will behave going forward. The opposite is true as well, if they had forgiven the fines he could have just taken plays off, said he was sore/slow to get up to game shape, etc.  Not saying he would have done that either but I'm guessing with future free agents watching that the Jets won't try any funny business.

a logical organization wouldn't try any funny business.

This is the Jets.

The Browns - clearly really irritated about people still asking why they are playing Watson over Jameis - demoted Jameis to be the Emergency QB

Dorian Thompson-Robinson is now the #2

Speaking of Cleveland - Cincy just took the opening kickoff 100 yards

So it is possible to still do that, instead of finding ways to make kickoffs more boring and pointless? Surprised.

It must give the Jaguars an edge having a full week in England to lead in to the second game, but I'm also quite happy to blame that abject Patriots performance on jet lag.

Well karma decided that benching Jameis Winston would be a horrible idea as Deshaun looks to hurt his ankle on a non contact play
