Contentious C Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Well, we now have a contender for Dumbest Color Commentary Ever, from who else. Described the play as "keeping their momentum." WHAT FUCKING MOMENTUM? It was the first play from scrimmage!! 1
BloodyChamp Posted September 23 Posted September 23 And we now know he has a crush on Carson Steele. That’s odd considering his taste in all his other crushes but I like women so I guess I could miss the connections.
BloodyChamp Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Brady was great on the mic this week, complete with his disgust over every late Cowboys mistake. My favorite was his “Oh my God” that faded out.

SirFozzie Posted September 23 Posted September 23 what a surprise. Harrison Butker costs his team by going too far right... (with a XP) 5
Kevin Wilson Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Is Malik Willis good? Just normal progression from a raw talent out of college or better/different coaching? I really thought the Packers would suffer without Love but I was very wrong. The fact Willis, Darnold, Mayfield, and Geno Smith are all leading their teams well (10-1 this year) after being jettisoned by the team that drafted them and looking lost just shows you can't just give up on QB if their first situation doesn't work out. Sure, there are the Josh Rosen's of the world but its not automatic. 1
elizium Posted September 23 Posted September 23 He's playing really smart, but his accuracy is what has surprised me. They dumbed the playbook way down for him, but honestly more teams should do that in general. Offensive coordinators outsmart themselves all the time. They basically have Willis taking 2 reads and if neither are there, he takes off, and it has really worked 2
BloodyChamp Posted September 23 Posted September 23 The Chiefs won this game with the Bill Belichik Plan C strategy. Andy Reid didn’t look worried about a thing and Mahomes didn’t even do his sideways Kermit the Frog head twitch thing he does when he gets mad because he…never got mad. They just knew the Falcons would screw it up and they did. I could have made that tackle if I’d have lined my couch up on the LoS and laid down. That’s how much time there was for pursuit on that long developing play. That was really freaking stupid. Running wide wasn’t stupid…but running wide on a play that took so long to develop against the Chiefs was stupid. All wide plays are like that now for some reason. I don’t know why nobody runs the old FAST toss anymore.

Sure, if you have a quarterback like Manning/Brady/Mahomes/etc, run all the plays you've got. Even if it's a guy like Cousins you can do a lot. You got a young guy? Figure out which ten simple plays he does best, run em out of as many formations as possible, keep his reads basic. 1

Always looks good on your stat line too when a running back/wide receiver take a short pass and YAC the hell out of it. And yes too many Offensive coordinators in this league are too inflexible with young QBs. Edited September 23 by Serious Darius Bagfelt 1
RIPPA Posted September 23 Author Posted September 23 Reminder - there are 2 MNF games tonight Jags at Bills starts at 7 PM and is on ESPN Washington at Cincy starts at 8:15 and is on ABC 1
BloodyChamp Posted September 23 Posted September 23 The Cowboys suck and Dak suck but this jump off clip that’s making the rounds…those people in all those comments are a bunch of incel Grunt Brothers jeeze. Learn to take 1 thimble full back compared to how much you dish out from behind the keyboard.
Kevin Wilson Posted September 24 Posted September 24 I don't know if it really is the OC change or Josh Allen feels extra motivated to show he doesn't need Diggs, but he is playing so well this year. I really thought to start the year there would be more of an awkward transition phase since only one WR is the same from last year but they just seem so in sync. I watched a LOT of bad football yesterday, the Bills (at the moment! this can change very quickly haha) are playing on a different level. 2
hammerva Posted September 24 Posted September 24 Something tells me the Bengals are going to feast on this Commander secondary
RIPPA Posted September 24 Author Posted September 24 YES! Maybe I need to keep my doing my workout instead of watching

It started last season, but with an offseason they are running the ball so much better which helps; but yeah Josh seems to be on a mission so far. Not as many deep balls that turn into punts/picks. . . .
Kuetsar Posted September 24 Posted September 24 This split screen bullshit is annoying as hell. . . .
Cobra Commander Posted September 24 Posted September 24 nice of them to keep the score of the other game on screen so we'll know that the Bills/Jags game is an assbeating 1
hammerva Posted September 24 Posted September 24 (edited) The AFC North is already a 2 team race and we haven't even made it to Week 4 I do appreciate that Daniels finally realized that Scary Terry is on the team. Edited September 24 by hammerva
sabremike Posted September 24 Posted September 24 Mets are greatly exceeding expectations and the Sabres look like they are going to be good with the return of Lindy so naturally the Bengals have to implode because I can never be allowed total happiness.
