Archibald
Road to shows will have Jr. tag league, participants: Main Power Struggle will show matches: White/Goto for IC title Ishii/KENTA for NEVER title Naito/Taichi, winner probably faces White/Goto winner Okada/Yoshi vs Ibushi/Tanahashi Jr. tag league finals Edited October 15, 2019 by Archibald
Archibald
Some things about Jr. tag league: No Dragon Lee. It doesn't mean that NJPW is done with him, but at the very least it looks they are going to wait a bit till making their next move. Nothing from RoH, I don't think that it means much because RoH is having their UK tour during this time and they probably need everyone they have for it. No LiJ team, does it mean that Hiromu is actually not coming back or they simply don't want to put him into league straight after his return? Sounds like the finals will have some variation of Birds of Prey/R3K/Bullet Club teams or a triple threat like last year.
Archibald
Updated the first post with new announced matches. Looking at how things are shaping up I think it is likely that we'll get Ospreay/Ishimori Jr. title match here as well.

Archibald
So this thing started, they also dropped Fantasticamnia line-up. Obviously no Dragon Lee there. As for the tournament, didn't feel like anything was much watch, but I thought that all 4 matches were above average and enjoyable.
Pete
That Eagles/Ospreay vs Rocky/Taguchi match this morning was so good I was late leaving for work. BOP have so much chemistry it's patently ridiculous.
lostinube
I would have been fine with pretty much any result with that match. If the vets had won with a flash pin though I think the crowd would have gone nuts.
Archibald
I found this fun. Both Rocky and Taguchi have lost all their tag team partners so they wonder who's going to leave once they end up not winning this league. Or will their curses cancel each other out?

That was emotional and awesome. He looks madder than before. Edit: ooooh, Shibata got physically involved in the main event. Hmmmmmmmm. Curt McGirt
Awwww. Well, he may have forsaken his Hardcore '81 roots for "In Living Color guest star" apparel, but I'm down with both of those eras of fashion

Jiji
You can do some interesting storytelling with the winner fatiguing from having to defend both belts and eventually slipping up due to that, kind of like what they did with Okada in 2017 at the tail end of his legendary title run. Who do they go with? Does Ibushi fail to beat Okada? Do they finally give Naito the super push with him getting the title he wants and the title that has defined so much of his career at the top for better or worse? Either of the Golden Boys get it? sevendaughters
looks like a super show today, heard nothing but raves. watched the main angles and - and it's not a competition, enjoy all art if you like - it reminds me that when they turn on the angle tap/faucet they smash it harder than their contemporaries.

Curt McGirt
I don't pay attention to pop music at all so had to go listen to that, no clue who they are. If that's today's pop music, then I can back the shit.
matwarz
It’s left field for them. What they do is push genres, messages and speak out. ‘The kids’ need bands that use their platforms and that’s why they are important right now. But hey, getting off track; great show! Shibata’s surely doing a tag at wk right?

Curt McGirt
I can't be the only other person who wanted him to lick up the entire side of Ospreay's face like Rick James.
TheVileOne
Show was a lot of fun. Really liked Bushi vs. Ospreay. Ospreay has really ratcheted things up this year in terms of his intensity, selling and facials. That trick with the mist was awesome.
