[Best of] THE TOP 330 MOVIES OF THE 1990s

RIPPA

Recommended Posts

I almost voted for From Dusk Till Dawn based solely off the Salma Hayek dance scene.

Too bad the rest of the film happened though. Watching Tarantino and Rodriguez work together sort of exemplified why teachers need to keep friends apart in class sometimes.

I feel like Tarantino's involvement was solely based on the fact that he gets to drink from Selma Hayek's feet.

Looking through the list and mine, I'm counting 39 movies that I've voted for that have shown up so far.

From my list I have seen: 1 from my 80's, 5 from my 70's,  5 from my 60's, 6 from my 50's, 5 from my 40's,  5 from my 30's, 7 from my 20's, 4 from my 10's and 1 from my top 9 have all come in so far.

Anything I had #23 or higher that's come in I've been the high vote for.

I laughed at myself a little for putting Starship Troopers in my top ten, but then I realized that I genuinely feel that it was the funniest movie of the 90s, and basically a prime early example of "cinema as nerd troll bait". For overall quality and unheralded influence, it earned its spot.

I'm starting to think half my list won't be showing up.  Okay, I knew stuff like Dark Angel: The Ascent never had a snowball's chance in hell, but it's a lil' depressing that some of these clearly aren't going to be making appearances this late in the game.
