Mostly some shuffling in the middle. Televiper loves his movies the best. I believe there's one person who hasn't gotten a high vote yet.

I cannot wait to see what movie Jason likes more than anybody else. I thought it was gonna be Tremors (not sure if he had that higher than I did or not).

You won't have to wait much longer

217) MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000: THE MOVIE

1996 - 181 Points - 4 Votes (Highest Vote: #18 Jingus)

I regret nothing.  I know this was essentially cheating to get my favorite TV show into a movie list, the film isn't even near as good as the best episodes, but I couldn't resist.

I have not seen Three Kings since it came out which means I was maybe 14-15 at the time. I don't remember loving it. It's good then?

Actually yes, though I didn't vote for it. It's also probably the film that makes Clooney a real player, which leads to future greatness.

THE SPY WHO SHAGGED ME, like BOGUS JOURNEY is a clear case of a sequel being better than the original. Too bad GOLDMEMBER was so fucking awful.

I'll give you Bogus Journey, but the first Austin Powers was way better.

The first AP has a huge lag in the middle, that drags it down a bit for me.

I'm vote #2 for this. I liked the show, but haven't seen a lot of the eps. I loved the movie though, and quote it all the time.

NOTE FROM RIPPA - This is the real #229. Also interesting note - how important is a single letter? I kept calling this "My Best Friend" and getting a totally different movie.

Such a great little movie about what an absolute nutcase Klaus Kinski was.  Note: I saw this before recent allegations from his daughter/stepdaughter that he repeatedly raped/molested her which would probably change the tone of the film.

227) BLACK ROBE

NOTE FROM RIPPA - Televiper has been dethroned as high vote. It's a Brave New World

I've seen some of this, but I have a good memory of it: we were supposed to watch this in class one year in Grade 10 and our teacher just did not show up for class, thinking we would watch it without fast-forwarding/walking out.  And one guy decided to fast-forward past some talking and when he played it, there was this abrupt cut, followed by black screen, followed by a short typed message that said "The previous scene contained fornication" and then the movie played just fine and there were no edits of arrows going into necks.  Odd.

I kinda thought I might end up the high vote on this one.  I still sing 'The Brack Show' theme from this all the time.  Back when it  came out, we had scrambled PPV channels, and I figured out that at Thursday at 3am when the movies switched over, they all became de-scrambled, so I would set my alarm for 3am and turn on the TV and see what movies were on and randomly tape them.  One night I decided to give this a go, having never seen an ep. of the series before.  I LOVED it.  I used to put it on, watch it straight through, rewind back to the start and watch all over again.  The only problem is it basically made it impossible for me to ever watch another movie in class without riffing on it, though.

Sorta like 'Chungking Express', the companion piece to this one (He had planned on doing three vignettes for one movie, found he had too much, so he shot a 4th vignette and did two 2-piece movies), I LOVE one of the two stories (The mute guy who breaks into businesses and operates them in the middle of the night) and am kinda bored with the other, hence why it dropped a little bit on my list this time.  That ending, though!  Pure bliss.

225) FOLLOWING

1998 - 169 Points - 4 Votes (Highest Vote: #30 Natural)

Before The Dark Knight Rises came out, this was the only Christopher Nolan film I never watched. I did a search on the online library catalogue and found it so rented it out. A really good twisty thriller. I'd either have it in or just outside the top half of Nolan's films.

221) AUSTIN POWERS: THE SPY WHO SHAGGED ME

1999 - 173 Points - 4 Votes (Highest Vote: #32 Newb82)

One of the four voters, surprised to find I wasn't the highest voter for it. I had it #36.

Starting to look like I voted for the top 100.

Funnily... there are 7 people who have had less movies show up so far than you.

Including someone with only 2 and someone with only 3 (though to be fair - both of those people only submitted 50 vote ballots)
