Travis Sheldon Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 Countdown to security footage catching him whacking it...
Dewar Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 NHLPA seemingly grew some courage, and Babcock is out. League needs to look at how the hell the CBJ decided hiring him was a good idea.
Dewar Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Corey Perry placed on waivers today by Chicago. If he clears waivers, they are terminating his contract. Alleged reason for this is that he slept with a teammate's mother.
Tabe Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Official wording "unacceptable conduct". Feels like there's gotta be more to it than a teammate's mom.
Travis Sheldon Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Wasn't that a subplot for one of the Slapshot movies? Hell, something like that seems pretty tame compared to where my mind was going. I'm not even going to make a joke about spending time in the box.

Dolfan in NYC Posted February 24, 2024 Author Posted February 24, 2024 Adam Ruzicka posted an IG story where he is mouthing a bottle of what appears to be cocaine. Arizona has begun the process of cutting him.
Travis Sheldon Posted February 24, 2024 Posted February 24, 2024 If I didn't know better, I'd think the world is chock full of people who don't think things through. The sports world especially.

Arizona has begun the process of cutting him. Larry Brooks actually had a good point: The very first thing that should've been done after seeing this was to get him into the NHLPA Substance Abuse Treatment Program, not putting him on waivers. This is a human being who needs help before something horrible happens.
Death From Above Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 The Blackhawks remain, by a country mile, the worst organization in the league. Congratulations. https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/native-american-woman-cultural-advisor-blackhawks-sues-team/
hammerva Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 if you watched any of the January 6th documentaries and get more and more pissed by the minute but want it sports related. the new 30 for 30 last night about the riots in Vancouver after losing game 7 of the 2011 Stanley Cup finals is for you. I guess the purpose of the end is to show empathy as "kids being kids" and the dangers of social media playing jury and executioner but most of the "victims" are just assholes 2
Dolfan in NYC Posted June 7, 2024 Author Posted June 7, 2024 This could have gone in any of the hockey threads, but lol... I think I'm a Rempe fan now:

Dewar Posted June 10, 2024 Posted June 10, 2024 I assume please him alone is an autocorrect from "please leave him alone", but I laughed anyway. 1

Dolfan in NYC Posted June 11, 2024 Author Posted June 11, 2024 This is what happens when you drink one (1) 5% IPA and your team loses by 3. That kid definitely has seen this behavior (behaviour?) before.
odessasteps Posted August 30, 2024 Posted August 30, 2024 I usually poo poo people whining about Twitter, but hard not to just shake your head at it (and most social media) tonight.
hammerva Posted August 30, 2024 Posted August 30, 2024 Well it could be worse. It could be what 97.1 FM IN COLUMBUS OHIO did. At least one of the host realized how stupid this was https://awfulannouncing.com/radio/columbus-host-blames-station-management-johnny-gaudreau-death.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter 3
Tabe Posted November 26, 2024 Posted November 26, 2024 Paul Bissonette jumped in to defend a restaurant staff that was being hassled, ended up brawling with five other guys: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.azfamily.com/2024/11/26/police-id-6-men-arrested-assault-former-coyotes-player-paul-bissonnette-scottsdale/%3foutputType=amp
SirFozzie Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 Things that have never happened in history, until now. A minor league player has been suspended one game... for shooting teddy bears over the glass into the crowd. No, the edible I took for pain management isn't causing hallucinations, this is an actual story. A minor league team has a teddy bear toss, all the fans are encouraged to bring one (or more) teddy bears, and when the home team scores its first goal, the fans throw all the teddy bears on the ice, the bears are then collected and given to charity. He lifted three of them over the glass back into the crowd while the cleanup was happening. https://www.sportsnet.ca/ohl/article/top-nhl-draft-prospect-michael-misa-suspended-for-actions-on-teddy-bear-night/

odessasteps Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 I pity the opposition player that would disrupt the Hershey Bears teddy bear toss.
