sabremike Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Why is this controversial, PK clearly and intentionally whacked the guy on the wrist. It was a dirty shitty move and he got caught.
Death From Above Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 There is so much hatred everywhere. It's great. I know that no one (in Canada) is watching it, but aside from one Halak brain fart the Islanders have been pretty comfortable through two periods. 1

The negative slime from Ghostbusters II has engulfed North America! 2
Death From Above Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 I took a quick glance over most of the brackets in the DVDVR pool. Man, we agree on absolutely nothing, except that the Rangers will beat Pittsburgh. Me and Lacelle have almost the same brackets though.
Jiji Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Lots of people like the Jets and the Islanders. I had the Isles making it to the finals but the nerd stats overrode my love for them. Holy shit, go Nashville!
Cobra Commander Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 I'm just picking against the Islanders because they haven't won a series in 20 years.
odessasteps Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 It felt like almost every series could be argued for either team winning. Now that the brackets are public, i will be curious to see the picks.
hammerva Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Tickets for tonight in DC were going for under $40 on StubHub. Guess people are saving for Nats playoff tickets down there. Think cheapest for game 3 in LI are $150. Well first of all the DC fan base sucks to begin with. But I think this fanbase is so beaten down by the Capitals playoff misery that they they are in "lets see you make it out of the 1st round" mode And that first game isn't going to help matters. Could get nothing going and seemed flat in the 3rd period
Robert Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Why is this controversial, PK clearly and intentionally whacked the guy on the wrist. It was a dirty shitty move and he got caught. The mere fact Habs fans are INCENSED a guy would fake an injury when in fact PK is 1 more diving fine away from an automatic suspension..........

A Canadien faking an injury in the playoffs? What on earth are you talking about?
Robert Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 "Either suspend him or we slash one of their best players." Not the way to play this one Mr. Cameron. But I like the spirit!
Death From Above Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 The only sad part about Montreal playing Ottawa is that this year I am cheated out of seeing which DVDVR member thinks the NHL is trying to rig the playoffs against their American team "for the tv ratings". We had quite a run going there for a while. Then again, the playoffs are young.
odessasteps Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 gary will have nightmares about an ottawa/winnipeg final until both are eliminated.
Cobra Commander Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 pretty sure you couldn't submit an all-Canadian Stanley Cup final on the bracket game without inspiring an error.
Death From Above Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Night one and we already get a double OT. Oh baby.
Robert Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 STOP THE MADNESS! I have Lucha Underground to go watch! I won't really be annoyed unless these guys are still playing when CGY/VAN are done.
odessasteps Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 At least the game was in Nashvile, so no chelsea dagger.
sabremike Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 And we're going to get another over..... never mind.
Josh Mann Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Stick a fork in Nashville right now. I don't know how you recover from a loss like that.
caley Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Just your typical night of NHL playoffs: Brian Flynn putting up 3 points to lead his team to victory while Scott Darling stonewalls the Nashville Predators and an 18-year-old-rookie assists on Calgary's winning goal in the last 30 seconds. Oh yeah, and Blanka celebrating the big win 1
Jiji Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Disappointing third period. Also, Brian Burke. Is this what living in Alberta does to people? 1
