odessasteps
I love the idea Gordon (or Dunn?) Should have tried to steal home.

hammerva
Did someone check the Chris Farley guy from Chevy to see if he didn't pass out after awarding that vehicle? Man you can see Erin Andrews with the "take it home fatso" look I only see 5 beers in that celebration. Finally something disappointing from Bumgarner in this series

Nice Guy Eddie
Nice to see the clip of Hunter Pence leading the Yes chant on MLB Network and Ryan Dempster mentioning Daniel Bryan.
The Man Known as Dan
Nice to see the clip of Hunter Pence leading the Yes chant on MLB Network and Ryan Dempster mentioning Daniel Bryan. The San Francisco Giants have done more to put over Daniel Bryan since the WWE has since Mania.

BobbyWhioux
No one will remember or care, but Jeremy Affeldt was essential tonight. Shades of NLCS Game 6 when he came in for headcase Jon Sanchez and saved their ass. The Giants are the one team that pays out for their bullpen specialists and Double Play Machine Affeldt is actually worth it.
jayhawk_in_cny
I've been a lifelong Royals fan, I was 3 the last time they made the Playoffs, so this is essentially a new experience for me. I'm only slightly disappointed that they lost, as I truly never thought I would live to see them get this far. I was stunned to see them even make the Playoffs, to come up one run away from winning the World Series is mind-blowing. Proud of my team, and not ashamed to admit that the Giants earned every damn bit of that Championship.

Tabe
In terms of innings pitched in one WS, (21) is there a modern equivalent to compare this to? I'm looking at Baseball encyclopedia, but everyone on that list is from like 1903 and shit (44 innings!!!!) Bob Gibson in 1967. 3 starts, 3 CGs, 3 wins. 27 IP, 14H, 26K, 1.00 ERA. Just about duplicated the feat the very next year and would have if Curt Flood hadn't misplayed a fly ball. Or Lew Burdette in 1957. 3 starts, 3 CGs, 3 wins, 27 IP, 0.67 ERA.
Tabe
Just a reminder, this man now has a ring. Maybe. Since he only played four games and was released long before the playoffs, he may not get one. Every team is different on how they dole out rings so SF might not give him one. The Giants were very generous with the rings the last two times. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Uggla gets one.
Beech27
Just listened to an interview with Ned Yost. Apparently he talked to Bumgarner after Game 5, and the two got to chatting about hunting videos and the like. Yost closed the conversation, politely, by saying he was glad Bumgarner was done for the series. About that, Ned...
