MADCAP
Between seeing the Millenium Falcon for the first time, along with the Han and Leia Love Theme, I can't help but to literally get misty-eyed and grin every time I watch the trailer. I hope I'm not the only one.
Brian Fowler
Actually, the MCU is the biggest money making franchise ever. For the next 2 months.... This movie is definitely not making the 4+ billion necessary to close that gap. (Granted, here the lack of inflation adjustment is a pretty big factor, as is the recent massive increase of foreign box office receipts)
Jrag
Ok that is a pretty big gap. The whole 3D craze thing obviously plays a huge factor as well.
Kuetsar
Jesus, there's a $4 Billion dollar gap between the star wars franchise and MCU? Good to be Disney. . . .
Brian Fowler
Well there have been 12 Marvel movies, all in the last decade. Against 7 (counting Clone Wars) Star Wars films, half from 77-83.
Kuetsar
Yeah, but at one time all the star wars movies were all gigantic, even with lower ticket prices. Not surprised that Marvel is bigger, just the margin.
Brian Fowler
Well, just Avengers, Age of Ultron, and Iron Man 3 combined are at about 4.1 billion worldwide. The Star Wars movies in total are at about 4.5. So, yeah.

I hope I'm not the only one. I'm not a huge Star Wars fan in any sense. I know the basics behind the core story, and that's it. All of these trailers have me excited, and wanting to watch the previous six films.
Brian Fowler
If you do, I HIGHLY recommend "Machete order" which is IV, V, I, II, III, VI. Or just watch IV, V, VI.
AxB
Machete order is 4, 5, 2, 3, 6. No 1. Just because.
Brian Fowler
Skipping Menace is a secondary suggestion. But then you lose the Duel of Fates and still have to sit through the worst movie anyway (that being AotC)
Matt D
Skipping menace is a primary suggestion.
Kuetsar
Skip Clones too. . . .
Brian Fowler
Then we start getting real close to my other suggestion. But if she wants to watch all six, well, that's the best path.
Burgundy LaRue
I've watched IV, parts of V and VI. I haven't even glanced at I-III because I've heard/read enough to where it didn't seem worth it.
Niners Fan in CT
To be honest, I didn't even really enjoy Revenge of the Sith that much. It was cool at the time but I have no desire to ever watch it again. I'd be interested to read why some of you guys like it, though. I felt the script was pretty bad. Raziel
Honesty, skip I and II and just toss III in somewhere.

Niners Fan in CT
That Vader/Kenobi fight was badass. That's true. All of the action was good and shit actually happens. Is Hayden Christensen that bad of an actor? This new cast looks to be a hell of a lot better than the prequels cast
Jingus
Hell, Sith even had some genuinely great dialogue scenes. The part where Palpatine is telling the legend of the Dark Side during that weird Blitzball Ballet show? That shit was art, yo.
AxB
That Vader/Kenobi fight was badass. That's true. All of the action was good and shit actually happens. Is Hayden Christensen that bad of an actor? He has one good performance, in Shattered Glass, but that's him playing a guy who's a cocky prick that thinks he's better than everyone else, who is then shocked and humiliated to discover that he's not actually that talented and everyone hates him. So maybe not too much of a stretch for him. But people who only watch Star Wars think Natalie Portman is bad at acting too, so I'm prepared to blame George Lucas for the bad performances. And the terrible script, too. Everyone on this board could come up with half a dozen lines better than "From my perspective the Jedi are evil". Craig H
Some quick advice that just came to mind: Avoid looking at the track names for the soundtrack. Given how the track names spoiled the shit out of events from the prequels (not that it mattered), it would suck to have something spoiled for this.
