Death From Above
Yeah the season opener Jays/Cardinals game was crazy. 34 hits and it comes down to the bottom of the 9th anyway. Baseball's good.

As he was asking for a timeout. Cool. I honestly don't get the stepping out of the batters box thing and why it was ever allowed. You have all day to stand around, adjust your gloves, or reposition your nutsack. When you're up to bat you have to be in the batters box, do all that other shit in the on deck circle. Cobra Commander
Aroldis Chapman season update: he just knocked the first base umpire to the ground on a play where the First Baseman recorded the forceout unassisted. Then he got charged with a ball for trying to work too quickly. Chapman also hit 104 on the radar gun later in this outing. John from Cincinnati
Alek Manoah and Alex Verdugo have decided to engage in petty beef. Between that and Manoah's previous comments about Gerrit Cole, he's 100% gonna cause some stupid bench clearer this year.
Cobra Commander
I suspect that Alek Manoah would be Eddie Kingston's favorite non-Yankee ballplayer (i'm guessing Kingston is more of a Yankee guy than a Mets guy)

Yeah, neither the Machado or the Anderson timeout should have been granted. They were both just eating time. I'm currently reading Bill James Baseball Abstract and one of this rule changes he proposed was not granting a batter timeout without reason. It took 20 years, but it made sense then and it makes sense now. There is literally no reason why we ever let batters step in and out of the box or grant a timeout, because they want to stand around and do nothing. When you are up to bat, stand in the box ready to hit. It's not too much to ask. If you shoe is untied or some shit, cool call time, but if you just want to readjust your batting gloves or grab your crotch, it should be a strike every time you delay the game with your bullshit.
