TheVileOne
Looking forward to the NJPW World relaunch on Thursday. Hope it's the relaunch they've needed for like five years.
matwarz
So Aoyagi v Nakajima was some tasty puroresu. Nakajima murdering Aoyagi, with the people going bananas as the champ fought from underneath. I can’t imagine anything in the first week of January being able to match the 12/31 Yoyogi main event. dragonzombie
AJPW Spoiler Nakajima won the Triple Crown. He will do his run all in his own Fighting Spirit Style. Nakajima reverse nomimated Kento for as his next challenger. So Nakajima(c) vs Kento is next for the Triple Crown, at new years eve. Backstage, Nakajima bought up belt renewal, for the Triple Crown. H.Omori appeared after Nakajima's backstage promo... All info from X.
dragonzombie
NJPW The IWGP US and UK belts were both destroyed, so a new belt will replace both.
dragonzombie
AJPW Nakajima will wrestle in the 2023 edition of Strongest Tag Determination League. H.Omori could be his partner or maybe not, all depends on where they're going with the booking.
lostinube
Of the active guys who are a title away from completing a Japanese major company Grand Slam (Nakajima, Jake Lee, Minoru Suzuki, Go Shiozaki and Kazuyuki Fujita), who actually has a chance to do it? The funniest scenario would be if Fujita somehow ended up in AJPW and beat Nakajima for the Triple Crown.
dragonzombie
Depends on if either Lee or Nakajima go to NJPW later, amd if NJPW ever wants any of those guys. Suzuki (55) is getting older by the years and is less likely to win the IWGP World HW. Fujita never. Shiozaki never. AJPW entered in Nakajima and H.Omori for the Strongest Tag Determination, without Nakajima's permission.
dragonzombie
Post covid, the industry moved away (again) from renting the Budokan. The Puroresu industry is also smaller than it was pre-covid, except for Stardom's growth. The only real flaw this year was the lack of angles, very angle low year. Hard to be invested if you needed angles to hook you in.

dragonzombie
They had Muto and Nakamura talking to each other with giant WWE logo in the back. Shayna was there too. Abema Charts for WWE are out there, for both Raw and Smackdown brands. Only really mini charts in the sense that not everyone is on those new charts. dragonzombie
Nakajima switched to doing the Northen Lights Bomb as his main finish. Next year somebody will be hired by AJPW, will it be Nakajima or someone else? With the exception of NJPW and maybe Stardom, every other promotion in Japan is small scale organization or indy or indierized.

They could use some juniors, though.
dragonzombie
It's Dec. Some AJP stuff.. A Triple Crown match will be held on Dec 31st. Nakajima (c) vs Kento. The Triple Crown match on 1.3 has been changed up to unknown. Masanobu Fuchi celebrates his 50th anniversary debut and 70th birthday next year, on 1, 14. A whole card for him.

Control
The Eastern Lariat dudes speculated that AJPW hot-shotted the TC to Nak and then rushed the Kento rematch because Nak will be elsewhere (eg NJPW) in the new year.
dragonzombie
Some kinda angle going on with the 1.3 Triple Crown match. Either they might bring someone in, or maybe the angle is they're trying to get the belt off Nakajima, he is the pesky invader after all.
Control
It’s kind of amazing that Zero One still exists. They’re basically smaller than regional indies like Kyushu or Osaka Pro, and Masato Tanaka is the only recognizable name.
lostinube
TMDK and the War Dogs of Coughlin and Kidd advance out of the A Block. Tomorrow night will determine who comes out of the B Block.
