Control
It’s predictable that ppl are already assuming a NXT-AJPW collaboration. If there’s anything I’ve come to expect from following AJPW over the years, it’s a complete lack of follow through.
dragonzombie
I think its just Triple H doing the new annual WWE guy at new years thing. This year it was Karl Anderson in NJPW and Nakamura in NOAH. Hisashi Shinma let Nakajima use one of Inoki's old themes.

Wait, what, seriously? Like an active NXT wrestler? That is so random if true.
dragonzombie
Again, next year I'm done with the NOAH thread. Next year post anything related to NOAH in the 2024 Puroresu thread.

Eivion
That is so strange. Curious how they made that happen. I hope its Corbin or Bron. If its Bron, maybe he can finally break out the screwdriver.
dragonzombie
Katsuhiko Nakajima is probably the lightest ever Triple Crown champion, if so he broke the record for lightest.
Ace
Weight is generally a work anyways.
dragonzombie
We only go by kayfabe and the divisions and how heavier AJP guys look compared to the scaling down of NJPW HW division. Since the Yukes Era to Bushiroad of NJPW. I'm well aware of other promotions over exaggerating the weights.

dragonzombie
Wow William Regal, they called him Steven Regal in the X/Twitter link. I didn't expect Charlie Dempsy to challenge, this is big for him. Edited December 25, 2023 by Kang
dragonzombie
Takao Omori (54) is leaving AJPW. Omori's last match as an AJPW roster member will be at the National Yoyogi Stadium Second Gymnasium card in Tokyo on New Year's eve. He rejoined AJPW in 2012. I wonder if he goes to DDT to be with his friend Jun? Anyway that saves up money for AJPW and makes Fuchi the last old guy. His last AJPW run has to have been his longest in one organization.

He started working for AJPW in 1989. Next year would have been his 35th year if he stayed with AJP.
Control
What are some gems of late 90s All Japan? I’m thinking 1997-99. Planning to check out Kenta Kobashi vs Hiroshi Hase. Wondering about more Hase matches, Vader, NO FEAR.
dragonzombie
AJPW stuff Demspey has two matches. Could we get more WWE-AJPW crossover? We will see... AWG Joshi stars are participating in AJPW next year on 1.2. The Great Asako will be looking for her papa, in a search. She's not to be confused with Muta's other daughter in NOAH who is known as Great Sakuya Nakajimas's Fighting Spirit Style is just another name for Toukon. Old NJPW thing. dragonzombie
New AJPW mat. Yoshi Tatsu is done with AJPW. Nakajima has a new look. He did the Inoki stance on the floor like from Inoki vs Ali. Nakajima retained the Triple Crown, and he ended the show with Inoki's chant, 1 2 3 Dah! JTO news Ren Ayabe will graduate from JTO. Will he end up in AJPW?
Control
Apparently Shuji Ishikawa is also leaving AJP, which strikes me as bad news. Edited December 31, 2023 by Control
