Curt McGirt Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 (edited) It's a French/Swedish/Norwegian co-production. I was listening to La Fraction last night so yes, I know what French sounds like Edited February 12, 2020 by Curt McGirt

Control Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 That must be why you didn’t confuse it with Swedish. 1
RIPPA Posted February 12, 2020 Author Posted February 12, 2020 I think Control is taking issue with me saying "remake of French film" despite it being it being described that way in all the news stories about Downhill (it was also filmed in France) That being said it (Force Majeure) was submitted by Sweden in the Best Foreign Film Oscar category. So I blame Hollywood Reporter, Variety, Deadline, etc...
Control Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 I was just giving y'all shit. Nevermind. I'll just be watching my favourite Canadian film, Rumble in the Bronx. 2

Craig H Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 Yep. That's a Wes Anderson movie. Obligatory
Raziel Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 Yes, I'll be going to the Princeton University Art House Theatre to watch that. Yes, I'll laugh when half the boomer Princetonians don't have a fucking clue what they walked into.
Dolfan in NYC Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 I guarantee you half the people who intentionally buy tickets won't have a fucking clue what they walked into. 1
Dolfan in NYC Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 Rick Moranis is returning to acting. He will star in a new Honey, I Shrunk The Kids sequel. This is great news because: If you ever read about why he retired from acting, you'll know Moranis is one of the few really good people out there. This moves us closer to Spaceballs 2: The Search For More Money 6

The timing is also strange because it was just announced that he wouldn't be returning for Ghostbusters Afterlife because of the whole being retired thing. I wonder if this somehow opens the door for him to maybe have a short cameo at the end or something, but I also think photography already wrapped for it a month or so ago.

JLSigman Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 Whole bunch of people on my timeline are going, "WAIT WE HAVEN'T HEARD ABOUT THIS AT ALL"
RIPPA Posted February 13, 2020 Author Posted February 13, 2020 Looking on IMDB - it reportedly has a cast that is Dev Patel as Gawain and also stars Alicia Vikander and Joel Edgerton Written and directed by David Lowery (Pete's Dragon, A Ghost Story)
RIPPA Posted February 13, 2020 Author Posted February 13, 2020 The Iron Mask I could write words here about how it is a sequel to The Forbidden Kingdom but all you are going to care about is Jackie Chan fighting Arnold Schwarzenegger 1
Dolfan in NYC Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 THE GREEN KNIGHT Starring Dev Patel, Alicia Vikander, and Joel Edgerton Directed by David Lowery Hi @JLSigman 2
JLSigman Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 I have no idea what I just watched but I want more of it 1
Curt McGirt Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 Does A24 ever put out anything that doesn't look like it needs to be watched immediately? 1
elizium Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 I'd be satisfied if that movie is like 45 minutes of the puppet show and the other 45 minutes is just hypnotically staring at that harvest season wheel thing. 1

Jackie Chan fighting Arnold Schwarzenegger! I hope they're actually on the same set at the same time at least. None of that Arnie's stunt double fights Jackie, Jackie's stunt double fights Arnie on a totally different day thing. Rutger Hauer and Charles Dance are in it too. Jason Flemyng is always good in whatever I see him in. You can take your Tenets and such like, I know what I'll be enjoying!
Curt McGirt Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 They look more likely to be fighting each other's CG doubles.

RIPPA Posted February 14, 2020 Author Posted February 14, 2020 Speaking of Dev Patel The Personal History of David Copperfield As I mentioned the last time a trailer was released for it - the most important info you need is Directed by Armando Iannucci 3
