Well, so much for that....  This week, we need to do some more build before Grand Slam.  But it wears me out...

(Dolfan's scorching hot music take of the week...  this is a better song than "Paranoid Android" or "Creep".)

Have a good week!

The Bends is the best Radiohead album. Pablo Honey was them realising they weren't ready and using their second tier material (there's footage of Thom Yorke singing High and Dry in his pre-Radiohead band when he was like 15 years old), OK Computer was the start of their Huge Ego Arrogant Wanker era.

Tonight’s show is going to be a lot of fun. While OC has wrestled Jericho several times now, seeing him do so just a couple miles from where he had some of his first matches in a small punk rock/hardcore club is going to be wild to me.

Oh, and Ospreay and Okada are coming to Wilkes-Barre which is something I never thought I’d say or type.

Ricochet/The Beast Mortos is such a “for the sickos” type match that I’m surprised it’s not on Rampage or Collision.

I’m pro wanker

Also, the Radiohead album ranking goes 1) Hail to the Thief, 2) In Rainbows and then everything else can have whatever ranking they want because those two albums are GOAT territory.

Well that's an easy title change.  Enjoy.

As someone who hates Kid A and says it’s their best album, I wholly endorse the Bends as their best.

(But I also love OK Computer and In Rainbows, and Let Down is my favorite song of theirs. Let’s get a Wheeler video package set to Let Down.)

I forgot to mention it last week, but having canceled all streaming services that T-Mobile isn’t paying for, I decided to subscribe to Triller’s AEW package.

This is by far the best way to watch AEW and I don’t know if I’ll ever go back.

One of us one of us we accept you we accept you one of us

Seriously, I VPN to the UK on my phone, open Triller, cast to the Apple TV (works better than casting to the TV’s native Roku OS), and I’m all set.

I’ve only had an issue 2-3 times where suddenly Triller doesn’t like my login even after changing my password, and the only fix is to log in to US Triller, then back to UK, but (knock on wood) it’s been a while.

This is the exact thing I do. Open Mullvad, connect to a UK server, open Triller, start watching, and then disconnect from the VPN so my connection improves.

I also noticed that if a day has passed then I don’t need to connect to the vpn to watch PPVs, but it seems like the AEW Plus tab only appears when connected to a VPN.

But yeah, last week I was way more into the show than I have been in maybe 12 months and that’s with me thinking they’ve been having the best year in the history of the company. I was getting so burned out on all of the fucking commercials in the middle of every single match.

It’s making me really look forward to Raw on Netflix and hoping it’s the same experience.

'Reasonable Man' Jon Moxley will have some words tonight. Do not believe what he says. He is a liar. Hangman Page, I think, we can trust. Orange and Jericho could be shitty, or not. Okada/Bucks v Ospreay/Fletcher/Takeshita could be the greatest match in the history of Dynamite, or not. I like the potential makings of the May/Deeb v Yuka/Queen bout. And I am very much here for Ricochet vs the Beast Mortos.

I choose the film scores of Jonny Greenwood.

Wasn't The Beast Mortos sort of feuding with Hall O'Graham? Any chance tonight's match will eventually lead to an O'Graham/O'Shea tag team? The Flying Irishmen would be pretty cool.

Don’t forget the only two Irishmen to main event the Tokyo Dome together, O’Kada and O’Mega.

There was a whole lotta spectacular pro wrestling on this TV program today. Really enjoyed that.

Pretty crazy when the roster is so stacked you can jerk the curtain with Orange vs Tree!

Got a good Beavis and Butthead/Celebrity Jeopardy laugh out of "J Dink" (Note: I am 58 years old)

Private Party wanted a title SHOT SHOT SHOT but got a hammer SHOT SHOT SHOT

Who do AEW think they are fooling with this false "will Bryan show up to fight Nigel?" drama. That being said, I hope it pays off with  a MASSIVE pop.

Also: Grand Slam is NEXT WEEK?!?!?!

No time to take a breath here.

Speaking of: Ospreay vs Takeshita, Takeshita vs Okada, and Okada vs Ospreay ALL incoming. Good Lord.

And Ospreay vs Ricochet

May being the worst tag partner was really amusing.

I wouldn't mind Mina vs Sakazaki at some point.

Mortos and Ricochet had pretty good ring chemistry considering it was a first time match up.

Speaking of: Main event tag in the GLEAT show in Osaka involves BOTH Ricochet and Vikingo!!! (and CIMA!) Day before my birthday! (i am going to be 59 years old). Plus Funaki vs Nakajimmy in a UWF rules match!!

lNJWPPS.jpeg

Plus: PARKER BOUDREAUX! In a title match!!

I wonder if his buddy White Umaga will accompany him.

I am legit stoked for all of this. Somehow it will be my first GLEAT show.

Also my drinking buddy Yoshiki has (free) tix for a BJPW show in a tiny hall (176 Box in the Shonai neighbourhood in Osaka) with special guest FUJINAMI!!!

PKSdt3g.jpeg

That is one seriously WAR-ass looking six man! I am f'n STOKED! Tatsumi Fujinami fighting Ryuji Itou is NOT a thing I ever expected to witness!

It's Sekimoto's Anniversary Tour. I'm assuming Fujinami is one of his heroes. So, cool. So cool. Seeing a legend like Dragon Fujinami in a tiny hall is going to be a real treat. Plus Abe and Nomura in a tag match!

I think I may have mentioned this before, but I am one lucky prick.

I’m fully here for Ospreay/Ricochet to break the minds (even more) of people like Cornette and Bischoff. Give me all of the flips.
