Dolfan in NYC
Nothing changed in the top 5, but eh, it's a chance to insult 5 fanbases. RANKINGZ~ #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 At the very least, either #1 or #4 is going to change, because Bama and LSU face off this week.
Justin877
I am just excited that the University of Virginia finally crashed into the Coaches and USA Today Poll. Currently they lead the ACC Coastal as well. Of course they play Pitt on Friday which could be a trap game.
Craig H
If LSU beats Albama: LSU moves to #2, Clemson to #1, Alabama to #4.

Tabe
Apparently, the president of Maryland reinstated Durkin to keep his own job. They all have reservations in Hell.

Yeah, basically the MD regents didn't want to shell out a ton of money to fire Durkin without cause (really? Having a athlete die isn't cause?), especially after having to buy out Edsall and I suspect that they fear that they'll have to buy out Turgeon too. Brian Fowler
Other than LSU being ahead of Norte Dame, no big surprises in the first CFP rankings. Michigan and Georgia get the other two graphic spots. UCF is twelfth in case you were wondering how screwed they are by the system. It actually matches where they finished last year, so they are getting more respect, but not a lot.

Not just the kid dying, which should be more than enough. No, he's got a strength coach that THREW A TRASH CAN FULL OF VOMIT at his players, among a whole host of other things. Yeah, that's exactly the type of coach who should be leading your team.

Yeah, but if they went up against Bama they'd get their skulls kicked in, so better to be a false pretender than that.
Brian Fowler
The school and conference would both also get several million more dollars.

RIPPA
Listening to Maryland alum twist in various to defend keeping Durkin sure is something THEY SAID HE WAS A GOOD MAN! GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME!!!
Brian Fowler
Even if he was better than Nick Saban, need deserve to be fired. But, I mean, do we have any non-Texas based evidence he's even any good at all? Michigan's defense didn't skip a beat without him, and Maryland sucks. They are going really hard to save a mediocre at best coach. At least with Urban you could see the cynical reasons. And the president who did it to save his job is retiring after the will year anyway.
dogwelder
So it appears that the people in charge at MD finally realized how bad things looked and fired Durkin.

John Austin
Apparently it was a punter who was the whistleblower at Maryland.
