Dewar Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 "A broken clock is correct twice a day". Nana's team was TERRIBLE. So very, very, very bad. I still like the dynamic of the Moose/Evans team though.
RazorbladeKiss87 Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Watching the TV show and man Prince Nana's new team of the Bloodhound Warrors was something. If this was 1985 those guys would be pushed insane in Memphis with their massive bodies and strange looks. But unfortunately wrong place wrong time as they really suck in the ring. In trouble when you are expecting RD Evans and Moose to be the workhorse in the match When I first saw that team I wanted to like them. After big fat guys, massive weird looking guys are some of my favorite wrestlers. I think if the match had been shorter and worked to hide their obvious flaws (such as the fact that they seemed to be working in slow motion) it would have been decent. Moose was fairly agile for his size. I hadn't watched an episode of ROH tv in a very long time and I thought it was a fun show. I enjoyed it more than I've enjoyed RAW lately. I'm also considering going to see ROH in Toledo next month. I haven't gone to a wrestling event in a long while and I'm fairly excited.
Stuttsy Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 For real though who the hell thought Nana's team was a good idea. The look, the names, the whole thing was like a living representation of the worst parts of 80's wrestling. 2
Technico Support Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 I get the impression the Bloodbound Warriors, Kongo and guys like that are an elaborate rib, just Delirious fucking with ROH fans by finding the most "non-ROH" guys he can. Kongo was like if 80s indy wrestling was made sentient and took human form. He would have been right at home underneath Tom Brandi vs King Kaluha. Was Rasta the Voodoo Mon unavailable? 2
Ace Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Was Rasta the Voodoo Mon unavailable? He's busy in Sinclair's offices. http://youtu.be/RzToNo7A-94 1
PuroresuFan Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Bloodbound Warriors were so 80's Indy cheesetastic I was hoping someone would make them for WWE 2K14.
Spritenaut 32 Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 He would have been right at home underneath Tom Brandi vs King Kaluha. Was Rasta the Voodoo Mon unavailable? RUMBLINGS are that he was contacted, but had to decline when he found out RoH had already approached Ta-Gar, Lord of the Volcano. Apparently, the two have a non-compete clause between them. Edit: Am I the only person that thinks Rasta the Voodoo Mon and Chicken would be a fun tag time? Seems a natural combination (I think they use chickens in voodoo. Not sure).

The gimmick would only work so long, since Rasta would eventually have to behead Chicken and give his blood as an offering to the loa. 2
Big Fresh Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Glory by Honor main event announced: Jay Briscoe vs. ACH That's fucking awesome. Go ACH.

Patrick B. Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Glory by Honor main event announced: Jay Briscoe vs. ACH That's fucking awesome. Go ACH. That's in Texas, so I imagine it's a hometown thing. Should be a fun match.
drshowtime Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 I think the last time they were in Texas was a great redragon vs ACH/TD match and he was by far the most over dude on the show (even over Steen). He's gonna be super over and it should be a fun match.
Patrick B. Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Pretty good Cole-Cedric match on this week's TV show. Also, two weeks until Styles-Sydal.
Big Fresh Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 First Round Match for Survival of the Fittest: Matt Sydal vs. ACH I really hope PowerPB has not gone into a coma over this news. 1

Big Fresh Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 ROH is now advertising Michael Elgin returning. Elgin is saying on Facebook that ain't happening and is copying supposed e-mails from ROH threatening him with legal action. A work? Probably. But if not, it's interesting shit.
Technico Support Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 ROH needs to start shooting in HD. I don't know about you guys but my local affiliate stretches it instead of just putting bars on the side of the screen. So Jay Lethal looks thick as fuck, like 2/3 Rusev. And the Blodbound Warriors look like The Hulk.
PuroresuFan Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Same here. Our affiliate also can't be bothered to to make that adjustment.
Valcourt Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Just got back from the Lakeland TV tapings. Holy moly is four episodes of television a lot to sit through. I was excited to see my first ever ROH show and it was fun but very long. Elgin is back. Did some "I'm not gonna do what ROH wants me to do gimmick..." Crowd wasn't feeling it at all. He came out in street clothes for his match. Crowd shit on it. Adam Cole\ sydal is good Styles\hanson was awesome Ach\lethal was very good #demboys are great! Whitimer shouldn't be on TV in street clothes. Just looks like a normal dude. Cheeseburger I guess is this eras spike dudley. The level of BO on the fans was pretty intense too. We actually moved seats because of fan funk. Pretty packed house in an interesting venue. Looking forward to seeing how it comes across on TV. 1
Web Conn Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 I liked the Jay-Bennett World Title match on tonights TV. The Taven return is underwhelming to me I have never liked him.
cool arrow Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 IMO Taven would be much better as a Kurt Angle/Bo Dallas heel who thinks he's a face.

The affiliates in my area don't stretch the show, everything looks pretty much like it should on the HD channel.
Valcourt Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 The cameras they had last night were HD cams.
Technico Support Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 Cool, maybe it's an issue with my shitty affiliate who still can't air it at the time the cable guide says it's on.
