Dewar Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Brutal Burgers is the best tag team name ever. That being said, whoever took training money from Cheeseburger should feel shame, and give him that money back.
Patrick B. Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Liked the heel promo; most interesting Cole has been so far in ROH. The blandness vibe probably comes from the first time I saw him in one of those "text for a picture" spots; he never mentioned his name and I had a lot of trouble placing exactly who he was.

Patrick B. Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Corino returns to commentary in two weeks. In an unrelated topic: Are there ANY decent commentators in wrestling any more? 1
MushroomJones Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Are there ANY decent commentators in wrestling any more? None whatsoever
Patrick B. Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Practically everyone is the same set of pre-prepared overmanufactured company lines with blatantly fake enthusiasm. What few heel commentators remain don't know how to dial it down to a tolerable level(i.e. Corino, heel Michael Cole, JBL at times).

But of course he's still not what you'd call "good."
cool arrow Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Yes. It appears to be based on the 1991-1994 WCW belt, which IMO doesn't get nearly enough love.
Buy Me a Burrito Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 And the Confederate flags aren't really going to help dispel the whole "Briscoes are bigots" thing.
Buy Me a Burrito Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Plus, isn't that idiot from Delaware? That's hardly the South. He's the Shannon Moore of rednecks. 2
Bustronaut Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Oh god dammit Sinclair. I hate my company sometimes.* *90% of the time
cool arrow Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Plus, isn't that idiot from Delaware? That's hardly the South. He's the Shannon Moore of rednecks. Wait, isn't Shannon Moore already a redneck?

Bustronaut Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Youtube videos don't play on my work computer, did they kiss at the end?
cool arrow Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Youtube videos don't play on my work computer, did they kiss at the end? No, but somehow of the two of them, Punk manages to come off more like one of the South Park goth kids.
ultimoDANK Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 I think heel Adam Cole is an ok champ but I'd like to see Paul London get a decent run with that belt. London vs Cole could be a good pairing as well...
HolyDemon Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 I'm a big fan of Adam Cole as World Champion. To me he's 2nd only to Okada right now. I really believe he's one of the most complete indie talents ever, especially considering his age and experience level. He's closer to being the total package than most of the indie legends were at 24.
Newb82 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Cole has such a great condescending douchebag smile it's amazing.
Spontaneous Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Anyone looking to see what Adam Cole is all about, check out his 1 Hour iron man match from PWG with Sami Callihan. It flies by, both are entertaining the entire 60 mins and it is just a great match. Evil douchebag Cole at his finest there and Callihan is no slouch either in his last match.
Harbinger Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Cole's pwg run won't be shit until someone sucks his dick.
Overly Critical Man Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 So the Final Battle main event is Elgin vs Cole for the ROH title. Why the hell isn't it Briscoe vs Cole? Isn't that why he has a customized belt? Or are they going to do a triple threat match? Damnit...they probably are.
Bustronaut Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Briscoe will probably come out the week after saying he never actually lost the belt, so he's the real champ, leading to a WMX "unification" match at some point

It would make sense to add Jay I suppose, realistically he'd be there to get pinned so Elgin doesn't have to. Personally I wouldn't mind if they went this route. Cole has already had main events on big shows this year with Briscoe and Elgin, so a 3 way sounds a bit more interesting.

That was my first thought when they announced the Briscoe-less Final Battle main.
