odessasteps Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 I like how on Twitter, when it was 3-1 at 80 minutes when CR7 scored, people were wondering if they could Spurs it up.

Looking forward to your annual post in the next couple hours about how lucky Everton is to be done with European competition for another year. 1
Dewar Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 "We did not want to win the Europa League, because making the Champions League that way is not our focus. We are focused on not finishing below West Bromwich Albion".
odessasteps Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 If only there was something to derail this conversation...
Dolfan in NYC Posted November 5, 2017 Author Posted November 5, 2017 No seriously, we do not deserve Rusev... Here he is singing Hala Madrid IN BARCELONA! 1
Roman Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 And then he gets shanked on the way to the back and people will say, 'He was just being a heel!'

Jiji Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 I maybe oversimplifying things but isn't it weird that a Bulgarian his age would support Madrid over Barca when Stoichkov was such a key figure for Barcelona during Ru Ru's formative years? 1
Jiji Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 I was thinking that exact same thing as I was typing that.
Roman Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Pirlo retires. A real pity, that. He was a veritable artist.
Pete Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 May sound like sour grapes, but I'm thinking MLS might be better off if they ditch the away goals format and tried the old NASL playoff structure with a 30-minute "mini game" if each team wins/draws the first two games.
odessasteps Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 It seems like every year, writers come up with a revamped playoff format, because people aren't happy with the current version
Death From Above Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 In fairness the away goals rule is absolute, complete nonsense and a terrible idea.
sabremike Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 Fun fact: 3 of the US starting IX tonight are Red Bulls academy products (Aguedelo, Miazga, Adams). Also the sad thing is that after watching this if this was the squad that showed up in Trinidad we would be going to Russia. What an indictment of the first team that is.
Pete Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 Sunday, November 12: San Francisco Deltas defeat the New York Cosmos to win the NASL title in their inaugural season. Wednesday, November 15: San Francisco Deltas fold. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well, if the firsts are only sending out 9 players, that might be your problem right there. 1

The Natural Posted November 25, 2017 Posted November 25, 2017 Sky Sports presenter Simon Thomas' wife, Gemma has died just three days after acute myloid leukaemia diagnosis. Gemma was 40 and they have a son, Ethan, 8. Fucking tragic. Thoughts with them at this trying time. 1
