2013 NFL: WEEK 16

“We didn’t make the playoffs and I think that’s obviously anybody’s goal, so we didn’t achieve that goal. But I don’t know if I’d be as strong as to call it failure,” Schwartz said. “We haven’t done a good enough job. I mean, it’s been the quintessential close but no cigar. We’ve battled every game but we’ve come up a play short consistently, whether it was a special teams play or an offensive play or a defensive play.”

Man, he's right. I mean, it sounds like failure at first glance, but coming up "a play short consistently" in all three phases of a football...that's not failure. That's perpetual bed shitting.

Lovie finished 10-6. Trestman won't even get to that mark and you wanna keep him?

Lovie had a defense that was leaps and bounds better than the defense this year, that team started out on a tear going 7-1, and he nearly had full use of Cutler. The second half of that season was a disaster though, and the perfect example of the shitshow job Lovie is famous for.

This season, what Trestman has done should be considered a miracle. The team is on the verge of making the playoffs, Trestman ran a system that is going to make McCown a multi-millionaire, and the defense has been awful. Worst rushing defense in the league. THE LEAGUE. This is the Chicago f'n Bears and they have a league worst rushing defense. Their passing defense is shit too. And Trestman has been consistent and has coached without any of the boneheaded mistakes Lovie would make every game.

So, do you still want to play this dumbshit trolling routine, or would you care to shut the fuck up?

And by the way, what the fuck is "your" team doing? Oh, that's right, they're eliminated from the playoffs. Kindly fuck off.

Haha you miserable old fool, if I had three teams like you did I'd dance on your grave as well.

It was a legitimate question based in the facts your ignore.

Love got them to 10-6. They canned him and fucked Urlacher off out the back door. Trestman comes in, maybe leads them to 9-7 and they implode as soon as your starting QB returns. Trestman's system is clearly bullshit and the schedule is clearly the only reason the Bears aren't going to finish 6-10. I will enjoy next season, when you either go all in with the Quitter and blow up the remaining husk of a defence you have, or keep that and see what hilarity McCown's noodle armed limp dickery brings.

At what point does the trolling take a back seat to just not understanding football?  It's usually easy to find the line with you (what you believe vs. what you say), but in this specific sub-forum i'm not sure if there is a line.  I'm starting to think you just don't understand what you are watching.

At what point do you answer a question instead of jumping up and down and shouting troll?

You're clearly trolling because you're spouting nonsense and referencing off-topic shit, like team preferences, to illicit  a reaction and derail a conversation. It extends beyond friendly or silly trash talk and is increasingly more and more annoying to see. For fuck's sake, you referenced Urlacher being shown the door when the guy was too injury prone and a shell of his former self to keep playing, hence retiring when the Bears wouldn't stupidly give him another contract.

FSW is actually making a good point. My opinion is just that the Bears are a poorly run organization. They went years in denial about how shitty their wide receivers were and kept trying to sell the fans on the idea of Hester as a threat at receiver. Once they finally figured shit out and got Marshall and drafted Jeffrey, it was too late for their defense. They're better off without Cutler but I don't know that McCown is the answer either. Basically they had a pretty mediocre year with a pretty damn easy schedule. They need a strong offseason and a good draft or they're probably going to be buried next year in that division. The Lions are clearly more talented and they will be coach shopping which can only be a good thing for them and the Packers with Rogers are on a different level.

The Bears were a poorly run organization. At the top, I still think they're in the lower third of the league as far as ownership goes, but their other FO changes have been a step in the right direction. They can only improve at this point since the defense is full of replacement level talent. There are other question marks for the team, like what to do with their QB situation since I don't think you can stick with McCown and I don't think they should keep Cutler. I would prefer that they continue to improve the O-line, find a QB who does a good enough job at managing a game, and continue the rebuild on defense.

FSW is actually making a good point.

His point was that the Bears should fire Trestman.  So, no.  He didn't.

No you goof, it was that you shouldn't have fired Lovie and that you were always going to regress anyway.

Your words on this same fucking page:

Lovie finished 10-6. Trestman won't even get to that mark and you wanna keep him?

Yeah. Because you wanted rid of Lovie like a true shithouse fan and now you're happy with Trestman even though he's got a worse record. I was pointing out how awful you are as a fan.
