RIPPA
It also means that a 10 win team is ensured of missing the playoffs in the NFC Meanwhile - there is a chance that a .500 will be the 2nd AFC wild card
dogwelder
It looks like, though, according to ESPN's playoff machine, that if the Ravens, Dolphins and Chargers ALL win, Miami sneaks in (one of those three way tiebreakers must throw out the Ravens in that case) Ah, screw it, ivpvideos explains it better
FireThunder
So I... it... I... Pardon me, I need a drink. Quantum NFL Mathematics gives me a headache.
ivpvideos
Oddly the Ravens aren't just as simple as win and they are in. If they win and the Dolphins and Chargers win, the Dolphins are in the playoffs. If either of those two teams lose then the Ravens are in. If the Dolphins win and the Ravens lose then the Dolphins are in the playoffs. If the Ravens and Dolphins lose and the Chargers win then the Chargers are in the playoffs. If the Dolphins, Ravens and Chargers lose and the Steelers win then the Steelers are in the playoffs. If all four lose then the Ravens are in the playoffs. SirFozzie
Three Eff You TDs for the Pats (the final two were defensive). That may be a record.
jaedmc
Eagle Evan Mathis said the following this week :"(If Dallas wins) I think we're going to cancel the game and invite the Bears to a movie or something; might go see 'Anchorman 2.'" First round of popcorn's on me fellas.

Ok, Here's I think the playoff scenarios And no, I'm not throwing ties in there, because.. well fuck ties Baltimore qualifies with: WIN and loss by either Miami or San Diego LOSS and Miami, San Diego and Pittsburgh Losses Miami Qualifies with WIN and either loss by Baltimore OR San Diego wins (They win three way tiebreaker and tiebreaker over San Diego, Baltimore result is unimportant in this scenario) San Diego Qualifies with: WIN and Baltimore and Miami Losses Pittsburgh Qualifies with WIN, Chargers, Ravens and Dolphins All Lose. pipGofern
So, if I'm reading Fozzie's post correctly, NOBODY in the running for the AFC Wild Card controls their own destiny? That can't be right, can it?
dogwelder
Fozzie's correct. None of those 4 teams controls their own destiny. Nantz and Simms were stressing that as the Ravens were losing.

glfpunk
We are barely half way through the first quarter and I get the feeling this game is all but over. I just don't feel good about Jay Cutler down two scores early and in a game he needs to win.

Raziel
If this is the Run D that the Bears put out there, Shady is gonna put up some numbers today. Can we get a halftime blowout so we can sit the starters for the much more meaningful game next week?
Brian Fowler
Jesus Christ, I'm notsure I can handle the Bears and Pack both losing when the Lions already blew it. Just taunting me at this point.

Raziel
I'm a hardcore Eagles fan. I just hate the city of Philadelphia. I'm also extrodinarly hard on my teams. EDIT: Going for it there was a dick move Chip. I approve, but for the love of god, don't run Shady into the damn ground tonight. This doesn't mean anything.
