  2. Saw it tonight didn't like it as much as Immaculate
  3. AEW isn't over CM Punk. Tony Khan isn't over CM Punk, and it seems the roster isn't over CM Punk either. This guy who works for AEW and wrote a message to Meltzer for the first time in two years apparently still isn't over what happened with Punk in AEW. https://itrwrestling.com/news/recently-released-smackdown-star-was-told-he-would-always-have-a-job-in-wwe-april-26th-wrestling-news-round-up/
  4. Today
  5. The Knockout's 3-way ended up having some of the most innovative 3 person spots I think I've ever seen. In fact, some of the stuff I had never seen before. It seemed like Ash will be targeting Brookside first, before setting her sights on the champion.
  6. Yesterday I kept the nosebreathing up for both bike rides as well as the entire damn workout. It takes a lot of concentration for a hardcore mouthbreather such as myself, but I got the hang of it. Great, now I can weaponize breathing against myself: "You can now breathe normally only on the weekends from now on, so you'll learn to appreciate it more". Anyway, the workout was fine. I did regular bench and a set of curls, resistance band lat pull downs and lateral raises between each bench set. The 260+ sets didn't go too well, but on the way back down the reps got cleaner again. This was basically an off week for me, but with the diet looming just a few days ahead, it was probably just as well. The surprising thing is that even with the most successful bulk season ever, my weight at the start of this cut, will still be within the usual range. The bad thing is that the weather is not within the usual range over here. I'm not running until there's no half-melted snow on the roads.
  7. All three fights are in a 2 1/2 month span. Shit, "Pretty" Paul don't need no training camp. But yeah, after fight one, they got some dudes who weren't particularly skilled at boxing probably or some hijinks took place. Looking at the cards he fought on, he got to be on the same bills as "Poison" Junior Jones, Marvin Hagler's brother Robbie Sims, "Iceman" John Scully, Zora Folley's son Robert Folley, Buster Drayton, and noted journeyman Melvin Wynn. That ain't exactly fighting on the same card as some weekend warriors. He had to know someone. Still not as wild as Archie Moore's last pro fight being Mike DiBiase.
  8. Roman Wilson dropped the first pass thrown to him last season. He finished the year with one (1) dropped pass. He's also an extremely willing and effective blocker. I don't know if he has out of nowhere superstar potential, but he seems like the kind of guys coaches love and trust.
  9. He at least ended with a 2-1 record, one KO and one TKO win and one TKO loss.

    2024 NFL Draft

I'm really happy with the Steelers draft so far. Let's hope we strike the WR jackpot again
  11. Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn were drafted to RAW. Few more were re drafted to the same brands they were on. https://www.f4wonline.com/news/wwe/wwe-draft-2024-updated-list-of-night-one-picks
  12. Okay so I was tracking down some random shit on Friday night as I usually do, and I came across this on eBay. Say what now? I am guessing based on the result, this wasn't one of those Mark Gastineau works.
  13. Baron Corbin drafted to Smackdown https://youtu.be/bvpVtIQaE_4?si=jqjfs16yVXliOiV6
  14. I looooooved El Hijo Del Santo vs Negro Casas from 97. Very excited to see this thinking of it as build up. THANK YOU
  15. Honestly, this Danielson AEW run has been my favorite in wrestling tv that I have luckily been around to experience. I truly feel lucky and will likely download all the matches to have on a hard drive and years later happily watch again. The Continental Classic came right when I was at my most negative towards AEW. That bought them a lot of time with me lol Eddie is a character I love dearly. His story in the classic was a true joy. Kingston made what I thought was an unneeded title into something I actually care about. I hope we get a cathartic Mic Foley winning the big one moment with him, but I could sadly see that never happening and the company pointing to this. At least we had this! The CMLL vs BCC was neat. It sadly turned into CMLL vs Jericho (like how Kingston vs BCC turned into a fucking Jericho feud) until the visa issues. Still fun though. BLUE PANTHER. I finally saw that. Super cool and I could tell Danielson was very happy. derp
  16. Meltzer: - The big story was the Tony Khan appearance on the NFL Network promoting AEW, where he called WWE a really evil juggernaut and the Harvey Weinstein of pro wrestling. Right now I wish he wouldn't go in that direction. I wish WWE wouldn't either. But neither is going to happen. I know Khan believes this engagement is good, but I don't think that's the case. He could get away with calling Vince "Weinstein" but calling the full company that is an issue that will cause a ton of blowback. The hosts on the show weren't expecting it and were not comfortable with it. It's too bad they didn't use some of the talent in some form as NFL teams have used WWE talent in the draft public selections.
  17. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94A3LwJT29w I was afraid that I'd go back and watch it and it would all be played out, but it's like a super workrate 92 Rumble if it had to simplify it. Everybody's there, there's a million stories going on at once that a viewer can just intuitively pick up on, and I think Flair compared to Santo/Casas as throughlines have enough in common.
  18. If it wasn't for Japanese shipping and you probably not having a compatable Blu Ray I'd send you my copy of DEAN~!!! when I'm finished. That would certainly help.
  19. Thanks, brother. This is a bad one, but I don't think it's possible to permanently kill my love for pro wrestling.
  20. *ahem* me too because I went trying and couldn't recently please and thank you *cough*
  21. The contract signing was fine though easily could have been 5-8 minutes shorter. Rey/Dragon vs. Angel/Berto was decent while it lasted. This was more about the post match angle with Carlito being confirmed Dragon Lee's attacker from several weeks back. Dug the Bloodline vs. KO/Orton segment. Tiffany/Naomi was good while it lasted though I dislike the one women's match on the show getting a non-finish two weeks in a row. Cody/Hayes was a mostly good showcase for Hayes though there was definitely a dumb moment or two that may have legit left Cody injured. Hopefully that is not the case. The actual Draft was fine. None of the segments lasted long and it was nice to see older talent present. I dug the idea of Long and JBL actively helping Aldis and Pearce choose names. No big surprises beyond Kiana James getting the final pick. Kiana is solid-good ring wise, but her character has always left something to be desired even with the work James puts in. Its a lot like Tony D'Angelo where it good they have made it work for them in NXT, but it's not a character that feels like it will work on the main roster. Hopefully they do some changes so she can create something interesting for herself though I suspect Kiana moving up is more about adding fresh bodies to the main roster than an actual direction Kiana herself. The Hayes move was expected. Bron getting moved to Raw was probably a good idea with the IC division heating up now that Gunther is presumably done with the belt. I like Nia switching up as there are a lot more fresh faces for her to face, and with the run she is on it would be nice to see them run her vs. Bayley again after so long. Alright episode overall but also nothing here to really go out of one's way to see sans maybe Cody/Hayes.
  22. I'm gonna hate Ospreay forever if that stupid fucking cage match ruins Gordi's love forever.
  23. I think my enjoyment of lists, be it very outwardly performative a majority of the time, is more a fun lighthearted exercise in evaluating individual taste and preferred aesthetic. Non-defined in-stone dynamically changing entities that have an individual look at what they personally value and forcing yourself to uncomfortably rank what it is you find either important or preferred. All in good fun! Especially being “favorite” could literally include nostalgia and subjective preference. The goal is to look inward and I really appreciate you taking the time to share with me that. That’s so cool! The Hair vs Hair match you listed is among my favorites. Such passion and I really felt the entire experience. How unfair bullying is! What’s crazy is I tried watching that match and I didn’t know I was watching one that happened months earlier. Turned out it was the wrong match! I was so confused why no one got their hair cut! But then I watched the actual match and it was insane. One thing I noticed was that Chigusa was going for moves that were successful a month early. Seeing everything being countered and not working was heartbreaking. Especially the shitty ref added so much to the drama. What a great match! So painful. Link me to the Cibernetico, please.
  24. Pictures of the new Speed belt are out. It's black leather with gold. I don't wanna spoil who won.
  25. Somebody has to have that video. Please. I have to hear that fucking quote again.
  26. As a Michigan fan, I got to see a preview of that performance the year before. Just picture 3-1/2 hours of me yelling, "WHY AREN'T THEY TACKLING THAT GUY???" He was on another planet as a college player.
  27. Movies watched today.... Reality Bytes (Peacock, leaving next week) The Perks of Being A Wallflower (Paramount+, leaving next week) One False Move (Mubi, leaving next week) We Grown Now (saw at the theaters) Gaslight (Max, leaving next week)
