Joe Lucia Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 A lot of this stuff with PDCs is a guessing game of sorts. There are a total of 11 AAA teams that have their contracts expire after this year and haven't been renewed yet, but some are locks to be renewed - Pawtucket, Norfolk, Tacoma, etc. And then when one team wants to move, it turns into dominos with multiple teams starting to switch. Rarely do you see two teams just swap, like two years ago with the Mets and Jays (Buffalo and Vegas). As for the Dodgers to OKC, there was a report from Oklahoma that popped up a week and a half ago saying that a group affiliated with the Dodgers owners was going to buy the RedHawks and move the Dodgers AAA club there.
Pete Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Cubs just switched their MWL affiliation from Kane County to South Bend. NO PEORIA NO PEACE.

Tabe Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 A major lawsuit has been filed against MLB and its 30 teams on behalf of minor league players, claiming they are being paid sub-minimum wage pay. The minimum wage law may not apply to players but there's no question they are paid less than minimum wage hourly.

Tabe Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Maybe, maybe not. There are exceptions in the minimum wage law for salaried employees under certain conditions. If salaried, employees must make $455 a week at least. Not all players make that.
Cristobal Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Also, depending on state law, salaried employees are not necessarily exempt from overtime laws either.

Dolfan in NYC Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 That Mantle one is awesome for it's simplicity and starkness. I really wish I could read Japanese, because the only thing I want in this world is for the poster to say "This is Mickey Mantle. He's going to be playing baseball here. in Japan. 70 Yen per seat."
Pete Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Mantle one says YANKEES big and red up top and "Sunday" underneath.
Joe Lucia Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Speaking of new logos....Rome Braves alt logo is FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRE
EdA Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Just gonna leave this here. So amazingly awesome. They might top the Beloit Snappers as my new favorite minor league team.
Craig H Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 I will post my pictures from the South Bend Cubs press conference a little later, but I LOVE the new logos they designed for the team. Very cool to be there live for the press conference.
jaedmc Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 I'm conflicted about the SBCubs, because they're in the division with my beloved Bowling Green Hot Rods.
Pete Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 Just gonna leave this here. I misread that at first. "DAYTON Tortugas?!"
TimLivingston Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 So, I'm gonna have some semi-famous nerdy baseball co-workers this season: http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=25630(First six minutes or so of the podcast)
Kuetsar Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 Sooooo not Seinfeld Night. Doesn't it look more like Fresh Prince night?
