Passed 500 million domestic, is hovering right around 900 worldwide. $65 million weekend, which is the third best third weekend ever, best non-holiday weekend (and it's got all outside chance of actually beating Avatar for second best third weekend if the actuals adjust it up again.) It is now 2nd all-time domestic for the MCU, both in unadjusted and inflation adjusted. Third all-time domestic for superhero movies. Tenth all-time domestic non-adjusted. It's going to track down at least seventh place on that list. It's a movie everyone knew was going to be huge, and yet it is still way bigger than anyone expected. Amazing box office for Black Panther.

Brian Fowler
It also just became the first MCU film to win four straight weeks at the domestic box office. It now sits 7th all-time domestic. It is second only to The Avengers for comic book adaptations. Needs a bit over 60 million more for that record. It's 21st worldwide, and will pass Dark Knight Rises for twentieth in the next couple days. Once again, ALL the fucking money.

Some of the negative reviews anger me. They seem to find fault with the movie for not being closer in spirit to the children's book..... the one that L'Engel got over twenty rejections for from publishing houses and that no studio wanted to turn into a movie because they though the story was unfilmable. Can Ava at least get one positive review with "Hey, at least you tried.." in the body?

Brian Fowler
Broke 600 domestic. Still 7th right now, but it's going to pass Last Jedi for sixth and probably The Avengers for fifth by the end of next weekend. It's got a legitimate shot at Jurassic World and Titantic for 3rd all-time before it's done. Arbitrary end point, but it's only the third movie to win five straight weekends domestic in the last 19 years. The new Tomb Raider did okay. I Can Only Imagine is the latest Christian market big hit. 17 million on well under 2000 screens.

RIPPA
Panther's 5th week win makes it only the third movie in the last 19 years to do that (the other two were Titanic and The Sixth Sense) Tomb Raider won the global box office for the weekend and has $126 million so far thanks to the worldwide box (It did $23.5 million domestically in its first week in the states) Most stories state that TR will probably make a little profit and future ones should stick more to the Resident Evil model (budgets more in the $50-$60 million range) since it appears that the producers always designed it to be a hit in foreign markets and not necessarily the US
