Apparently the Wizards are close to hiring Scott Brooks

Well,at least they are all in. 

Monty Williams won't be returning to the Thunder and has turned down interviews elsewhere.  It sounds like he's taking time to work things out.  I hope he comes back to the game sooner rather than later; he seems like one of the genuinely good dudes.

Tom Thibodeau in as Minnesota's head coach and president. 

Good fit for a young team where you have no concerns about Thibs playing guys too much.

I'm excited to see Wiggins and Towns further develop defensively too. That could be a scary perimeter/interior defensive combo on top of all that they can do offensively.

Plus Rubio is already one of the best defensive point guards in the NBA

The Timberwolves hired Scott Layden as the GM, who you might remember from turning the Knicks into a laughingstock.

On top of that, recent history has been kind on his coaching record. I disagreed with how he used guys in his last few years in NO, but they actually won games with a poorly constructed roster.

And he didn't try to stretch the springiest PNR big in the league out to the 3 point line.

Leave it to the Lakers to wait until the top two free agent coaches on the market are already spoken for.

Luke Walton is a way better free agent coach than Brooks.

I seriously doubt that Walton would leave a cherry gig for a directionless Lakers.

Scott an Hinkie need to get together to see what they could do to an NBA franchise.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Scott in Sacramento before he's done coaching.. . . .

Depends how much coin they throw at him and where they land in the draft.

If Brooks helps them reel in the Durantula that changes the equation significantly.

If that's the case it's a dumb hire. The only value Brooks has would be recruiting Durant. If he can't do that what's the point?
