RIPPA Posted September 15 Author Posted September 15 I have never seen a member of the Manning family run that fast 1
SirFozzie Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Tennessee 65-0 Kent State..... AT HALFTIME My friend Josh lamented that we can't call this the Kent State massacre..
Brian Fowler Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Kentucky giving it to Georgia so far, but I think this might be one of those "really needed touchdowns instead of field goals when things were going our way" kind of games.
EVA Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Next week, FSU gets a visit from Cal, who took down Auburn in Jordan-Hare last week. 0-4 is absolutely on the table.

Once the ACC blows up, I think Pitt to the Big 12 is highly likely. The ACC is going to blow up is just Big 12 fanboy bs, sure Clemson & FSU are suing with the hope that the SEC or Big 10 will take them, but those conferences really don’t need them and the whole GOR lawsuit will be in the courts for years. What’s more likely to happen is the the SEC and Big 10 pick off who they want from the ACC and Big 12 near the end of the decade and you’ll see new conference with teams from the ACC and Big 12.
EVA Posted September 15 Posted September 15 They could play 8 quarters and Kentucky would not get in the endzone tonight.

EVA Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Oh shit, Kentucky could’ve got that fumble if 54 was paying attention. What the hell, man. He just switched off.
Cobra Commander Posted September 15 Posted September 15 the college I graduated from decided to react to being #2 in D2 by losing on the road by 17
Brian Fowler Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Feel like Texas is about to join Michigan, Clemson, LSU, Georgia and Alabama as the only teams to be number one since Nov 2015.

"Our defense is balling out, the home crowd is rocking, we move the ball fairly well for a bit, stall out and take 3. We're fine we're fine we keep getting stops and we ca... Oh fuck they just scored a touchdown." 1
Pete Posted September 15 Posted September 15 You ever see those game clips where one team has a player with some sort of developmentary ailment, so the other team lets him score a touchdown? At this rate Florida/FSU will be like that times 22. Also, this. Way fun.
hammerva Posted September 15 Posted September 15 After watching how awful the Florida State QB situation is, how the fuck did this same QB go 8-5 last year in Oregon State. Was the PAC-12 defense that awful? Is the Florida State coaching that significantly worse than Oregon State? Is it just the extra pressure And it isn't like he was terrible at Clemson. He wasn't good but the Clemson version is like 2 or 3 times better than this

EVA Posted September 15 Posted September 15 I’ve seen more Bama TD dances in the past 3 games than I saw in 17 years under Saban lol. Two of the freshman have a damn podcast. The culture change is very real.

He wasn't good but the Clemson version is like 2 or 3 times better than this Thing to keep in mind is that then-ORST/now-MSU coach Smith is a Petersen/Boise guy, meaning he runs what could be considered a QB-agnostic offense. Their ideal situation is running the ball and only throwing on play-action when it’s schemed up to hit. Like, 20 pass attempts is their ideal game. And if you’re a good QB, you’re gonna look incredible, but if you’re bad, you’re still gonna seem fine because you’re not gonna be put in situations to fall on your face repeatedly. That said, he was still just a 50-55% passer at ORST, which is god-awful by modern CFB standards, and over 50% of his TD passes came against the like of Stanford, Cal, UC-Davis, etc. He was totally ineffective against the good teams they played. Like, I think it’s telling that Smith took the backup QB with him to MSU, not DJU. Should’ve been a big red flag for FSU. Edited September 15 by EVA
Brian Fowler Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Also remember DJU wasn't their first choice. They were all in on Cam Ward, competing with Miami. When Ward declared for the draft, then they pivoted. Then Ward changed his mind and Miami still had the opening.
