Brian Fowler Posted September 14 Posted September 14 I'm not surprised by the drop off in production or reduction of raw talent for Michigan from last year to this, but the lack of discipline and the amount of just flat out mistakes has been staggering to me.
Brian Fowler Posted September 14 Posted September 14 Meanwhile, LSU and South Carolina are trading body blows.
BloodyChamp Posted September 14 Posted September 14 My Seminoles suck. Bad. This quarterback is the worst ever. When you still single out the quarterback on an all around bad team you have the worst ever. That includes if we pull a Hailmary out of our butts here, because Memphis has already tried to hand it back to us a couple times. I know he’s been hurried but there’s time for any quarterback worth a shit to atleast react and not take a shook Ben Roethlisberger type sack.
EVA Posted September 14 Posted September 14 Fickell’s failure to launch at Wisconsin has to be one of the unexpected coaching developments of recent years. If anybody would know how to be successful there, you’d think he’d be one them! 1

If anybody would know how to be successful there, you’d think he’d be one them! I'm still baffled by his decision to hire an Air Raid OC. That's not really what Fickell ran at Cincy, and it goes against everything Wisconsin has going for it. They didn't just happen to fall into being a power running team because Alvarez was an old school coach. The upper Midwest produces a lot of big, strong athletic linemen and doesn't produce all that many quick, fast tall receiver types. You hate trying to completely change a system, but I kinda think they need to completely start over on offense next year. If they are ever going to be serious winners again, it's probably going to be playing bully ball.
Craig H Posted September 14 Posted September 14 ND up 42-0…in the first half with 277 yards rushing. The fuck was this last week?!
Pete Posted September 14 Posted September 14 "Ohhhhh and Threeeeee" works really well to the tune of the War Chant if anyone wants to take a stab at it.
Brian Fowler Posted September 14 Posted September 14 (edited) Man, I know DJU didn't exactly put up superstar numbers for Oregon State, but he wasn't this bad last year. Speaking of the Beavers, while it's a lot better than the games not happening, damn it's weird having the Civil War and Apple Cup in September. Edited September 14 by Brian Fowler
RIPPA Posted September 14 Author Posted September 14 Portland St vs South Dakota was cancelled due to an outbreak of whooping cough within Portland St
Mister TV Posted September 14 Posted September 14 Backyard Brawl is fun as usual, just had a WVU fake punt for a 1st down, then 3 plays later Pitt blocks a punt and runs it in for a TD.
Craig H Posted September 14 Posted September 14 I legit feel bad for Purdue. And Carr. He’s getting killed out there. Stadium looks less than half full at this point too.

hammerva Posted September 14 Posted September 14 West Virginia has one of the worst secondaries in football. So of course PITT focuses more on the run in the 2nd half with little success I approve this strategy
RIPPA Posted September 14 Author Posted September 14 Okay this is a little wordy but here goes FSU is the first team to ever be in the preseason Top 10 to start 0-3 with all three losses coming to unranked teams
hammerva Posted September 14 Posted September 14 Seeing traditional Pac 12 rivalry games in September feels weird
EVA Posted September 14 Posted September 14 I’ve never seen anyone try harder to throw a game-ending interception than Garrett Greene just did. Three straight throws right at a Pitt defender. 1
hammerva Posted September 14 Posted September 14 As soon as saw how they were lined up on the first drive and basically prayed that our awful secondary would pull a miracle, I knew we were fucked. Thank god West Virginia doesn't play Colorado this year because man Shadeur Sanders could put up 500 against this secondary.
Mister TV Posted September 14 Posted September 14 Hopefully the conference realignments will get Pitt & WVU into the same conference so the Brawl can be played at the end of the season, would be a perfect primetime Black Friday game. 1

Yormark clearly wants more East Coast presence for the Big 12, as evidenced by the weird UConn play a couple weeks back. Once the ACC blows up, I think Pitt to the Big 12 is highly likely.
