  1. Shouldn't we wait for a source better than "some dude on reddit" before we start assuming this is even remotely true?

  2. Taker's best lift is the deadlift.

  3. I've honestly never gotten this - what's so empowering about "Brie Mode"? Doesn't that come from Total Divas, where she just gets black out drunk and screams it in various nightclubs? Brie should be with the Rosebuds, if anything.

  4. I want everything to be real & true because the behind the scenes shenangians are infinitely more entertaining than the television. I hope AJ was shooting & gets fired. I hope Roman took all the drugs. I hope Brock is super pissed and dipped. I hope the other wrestlers start revolting & talking out. At least it would be entertaining.

  5. Maybe he just misspoke, and he meant to remind everyone that what Hogan does in the ring is "technically" wrestling.

  6. I'm crossing my fingers for it to be true, because I am loving this "HELL ON THE EARTH FOREVER" period of WWE so much. It's hilarious chaos.

  7. Serendipity. After being in the VoG a total of three times for the long haul and only getting ascendant materiels, a friend of mine invites me in during the Atheon checkpoint. I arrive just in time for the last fight. I fire one rocket, damage Atheon, he dies from someone else's weapon fire, and I receive the Epilogue and the Glass Minuet jumpship. I now feel honor bound to level up this stupid auto rifle.

  10. Or hey, Vince could grind four axes at once and just stick AJ vs Brock as the main event!

  13. And now for something completely different; wrestling in anime circa 1983. See how many wrestlers you can identify! (spoilered for size)

  14. I realized that I was stressing these fucking brackets for no good reason. So here we go. This first post is basically me cut & pasting Jae's stuff from last year. (With some tweaks). Brackets and pick'em will eventually be in the 2nd post. DVDVR MARCH MADNESS 6 March Madness started in 2009. I think. It was a bit messy with more emphasis on madness. In the second year it became the sort of Wrestler of the Year competition though it really isn't. For the 2nd straight year, we include the world. (The first 4 years were only US/Canada folks). I tried to include a good mix without letting my old man biases dictate who was in it. The WWE is still heavily represented as there are like 23 or 24 guys from there but I want to force y'all to watch some other guys too. I know that a lot of you haven’t seen shit from a big chunk of these folks. I ask that you at least give each unknown a shot before voting. A match or two isn’t asking much and who knows maybe you’ll find something you can watch when your company of choice starts putting Randy Orton on TV. RULES Generally speaking one votes based on a wrestler's performances over the last year. People are allowed to argue in favor or against any wrestler, as well as post any video evidence needed to back up said arguments. However don't take shit personally - this is all in good fun, and any trolling should be recognized as such. IMPORTANT: If you take things too far, or become too much of a nuisance - you'll be getting a time out. So if you're trolling and having a laugh- don't go over the line. If you're being trolled, wake the fuck up. Above all: Don't be an idiot. HALL OF CHAMPIONS 2010: Rey Mysterio 2011: Daniel Bryan 2012: Daniel Bryan 2013: Daniel Bryan 2014: Antonio Cesaro *It should be noted that CM Punk was runner-up every the first 4 years. Daniel Bryan runner-up last year. POLLS OPEN MONDAY, MARCH 2, 2015

  16. Is his timing that flawed? Our respect runs so dry. Yet there's still this appeal, that we've kept through our lives.... I wish Reigns were as amusing as his push has been. How WWE fans react to whatever WWE does is almost always more interesting to observe than whatever it is that WWE actually does.

  17. Sounds like I should have just decided to be tired today and stayed awake. I want to hear more about this firetruck cargobob thing. Sounds like the kind of shenanigans that are right up my alley. And Stout, me and Mel will set you up on a conjugal visit with our lady characters since you seem to be so keen on them anyway. (For everyone else, Stout takes the "see no evil" approach when we come running by in hot britches and high heels.) I do find it hilarious that you're the one that gets thrown back in jail on the same night Robert is tanker truck bombing people. The parole board was looking in the wrong direction. Like Mel said, I'm damn happy I got to see that in person. I was sneaking up around a corner with a shotgun out and here comes Robert out of nowhere. Knowing you drove that big bastard all the way from Zancudo without accidentally triggering the bomb makes it even better. Edit: Melraz just told me why y'all choppered a firetruck up the mountain. Now I'm really dying. "You think a mountain will save your passive ass, boy? Stone Cold ET says AHHH AHHH!!!!!"

  20. Saying 'Birdman' is about movies, Hollywood, or broadway, is like saying '2001' is about spaceships. Or 'All About Eve' is about Hollywood. Or Citizen Kane is about newspapers. Yeah, they are, but they're all about so much more. I really don't get the ongoing narrative about how "Boyhood' did something groundbreaking and unique!" when it's a gimmick that's been done before (Francois Truffaut made a series of movies Antoine Doinel, all starring the same actor, the followed the character over a period of 20 years, not to mention the 'Up' Series which is a series of documentaries about people that catches up with them every 7 years) and the plotline, such as it was, has been seen a thousand times in other movies and, in all honesty, done better.

  25. I think the biggest thing people don't seem to get in the whole Bryan vs. Reigns thing is this: WWE isn't looking for a guy who can main event WrestleMania in 2015. They're looking for a guy who will be there to main event WrestleMania in 2025. Tht ain't Bryan. And they'll sacrifice Bryan now to get that train started for Reigns.

  26. That guy was also memorable for being the only person that ever gave melraz negative rep. If you've got time, try out doing a mission or two with the sisters and see if that shortens the timer any.

  27. The guy in passive we somehow killed in the hotel pool was a personal highlight in 10 years of playing this game. A couple of minutes ago, I was like "hey, wonder if any of the fellas will be on tonight ... oh yeah."

  28. That was beautiful. The level of creativity you guys have developed for destroying dudes in passive is pretty much an art form.

  29. If he still looks like that and isn't hiding anything then the vest is absolutely ridiculous, it looks dumb and isn't being used to cosmetically cover him up. I thought I remembered him getting it ripped off when he and the Shield got beaten down and that was what started it.

  36. We still would have known before now. I just don't see how something that bad would be kept under wraps for months and no one said anything. And if that's really the case, the media should be ashamed of themselves.

  37. Can't believe they threw your ass back in the clink stout. I did my best to join you, but I guess they're letting it slide for now. Blew up so damn many cars tonight. I'm glad that damn tanker bomb worked. I drove the thing all the way from Zancudo to the downtown mall. I'd have been heartbroken if it didn't work out.

  38. Who's the man who got thrown back in juvy? Stout! Damn straight... Mel, we ran into Mundungus again (remember him?). That reminds me, I wanna search this thread for a Mundungus mention. I think we kicked his ass last time, but he was pretty good tonight.

  39. Was watching the 'Best of Nitro' doc that's on Netflix still and had left the subtitles on from whatever I'd watched last time. And it was the "Well we've got a great main event for you..." opening and was subtitling everything but when it got to Ted DiBiase it subtitled it as "Everybody's got a place..." and I thought how different DiBiase's career would have been if instead of a rich dude who bought his way to the top, he was just a guy who invited himself over to people's homes. "Look, I'm sorry Mr. DiBiase, we only have three chairs!" "Everybody's got a place...for the Million Dollar Man." Also, Steve McMichael just referred to Hulk Hogan as a "technician" in the ring.

  40. Dalm it was like old times. The streets were wild with gunfire and they ran red with blood. Early in the day stout dan myself and luke were destroyin the city. Then tonight burke stout robert and i along with my buddy luke were turnin the town upside down. Burke had to sleep but chris and miz were up for some action. Those who chose not to leave were un-shootable but could still be rammed drowned and decapitated with chopper blades. Just wish the cargobob firetruck on the mountainside woulda worked. Ah hell we'll have another chance at it im sure, and as always: hate:crime:war! Edit: favorite kill of the night goes to robert. I was inna 1 on 1 deathmatch and was on the roof of the lsc mod shop. My opponent was comin up around a corner. My rocket steadily aimed when a gas tanker flies into the vicinity and blows up. Robert had allah akbared the poor sap with a gas tanker. Just glad i didnt sent the boom stick off. Oh and stout....see ya in 4 to 6 my friend. Goude louck.

  41. Bikertaker should run over Bray on his way to the ring and then ride off, stopping only long enough just before disappearing backstage to grab a mic and say "Everyone. Talks. Too. Much." From that point on Bray is incapable of speech.
