Robert
Missed most of the game after they flashed a Jonas Hoglund graphic on the screen and my head exploded.
sabremike
Going to Philly tomorrow to see Sabres. Of the 6 times I've seen us play there we've won 5. Also get to see us in Newark on the 30th. Let's Go Buffalo!
Big Fresh
Blues and Bruins are having a fun game right now.
The Man Known as Dan
Boston was the better team. I, however, will not turn down the 2 points.
sabremike
5-2 after tonight in Philly. I hope we don't do something stupid after the season like get rid of Nolan. I really think if he gets time he can turn things around for us. Interesting tidbit: tonight's game was the first in NHL history to feature two coaches from the First Nation ( Native Canadians)
Death From Above
Oilers are currently on a 14-0 goal run. I've heard of hot and cold but this is pretty ridiculous. Even if it does come against Calgary, Columbus, and Florida.
Charlie M.
Wow Ben Scrivens has another shutout going midway through the game... Clicks box score. Devils have 5 shots on him.
Death From Above
Jagr is the best player at forward the Devils have this year, which is probably bad since he's, you know, 41. In their defense, Kovalchuk just walking out on the NHL hurt them a lot. But still, they've got problems.
Charlie M.
Cory Schneider has a sub 2.00 GAA and yet has the worst save % he's had in a few years. DEVILS HOCKEY!
Robert
I find it impossible to believe anyone watched that 2 minutes of 3-on-3 OT in LA/NJ and still thinks a shootout is the way to settle things. And that was with freakin' NEW JERSEY! Imagine an actual team with real forwards playing.
sabremike
Cory Schneider has a sub 2.00 GAA and yet has the worst save % he's had in a few years. DEVILS HOCKEY!They are probably going to be my only hope of seeing an honest to goodness Sabres win in person this season when I go on the 30th. Robert
The concussion lawsuit bomb has finally been dropped on the NHL. Should be interesting to see what happens.
Death From Above
I like how the suit claims opening up the game by reducing clutch and grab post lockout is part of the basis of the suit because it increased the player's risk, despite virtually every player in the suit not playing post lockout. Should be fun watching people argue what the game needs for safety is more players like Derian Hatcher. I'll get the popcorn.
Robert
Already people are digging up stuff on these guys like one of them CHOSE to play without a helmet when the league began to grandfather it in & one of their main arguments is the league encourages fighting meanwhile one guy in the suit played 20 games over 3 years and had 0 fights. Their rep is going nuts on his twitter so if nothing else he'll get this story lots of publicity.
Death From Above
I don't want to just tear this apart right off the bat because, having read a book on Alan Eagelson's time in the NHL, it's no secret that at one point the NHL and its team doctors were in on some sleazy business together. But it does seem this sucker has some odd holes, especially if the NHLPA decides to tow the line on the current state of player safety (which they helped to define). Dewar
Trouba's back in the lineup for the Jets, and there's a shitton of empty seats in New Jersey tonight.
Charlie M.
It's time for hockey to finally address the number one cause of injuries and danger in the game - the ice. It's got to go.
