_MJ_ Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 CELTICS. Brad Stevens is your coach of the year, folks. Not if Jeff Hornacek gets that Phoenix Suns team in the western conference playoffs...
Niners Fan in CT Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Who knew the backcourt of Dragic and Bledsoe would be so lethal?
AlfredoE Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Phoenix is thinking of dealing some of their picks to add to the team this season. I wouldn't be shocked if they deal 1 or 2 since Sarver usually sells the picks and they have a lot of picks.
Charlie M. Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 They also have a ton of young players on the team already. If they're happy with the crew they've got now, it makes sense to package some of those picks for a proven player. They're the most shocking team out of anyone but the Morris Twins together seems like it's just something that needed to happen for both of their games. I'm guessing Dragic/Bledsoe works because they both attack a lot and Bledsoe plays "big" defensively. Dragic isn't a great defender but he's no worse than most of the top guards in the West.
Brian Fowler Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Hey, Pistons beat the Pacers today. So, that's good news.
Zero Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Portland now the number 1 team in the NBA. Did anybody see this coming?
Brian Fowler Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 And the Pistons blew the game against them this week. I mean, absolutely blew it and lost in OT.
AlfredoE Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 The Lakers helped the Hawks get above .500 joining the Pacers & Bulls as the only teams with winning records out East. You are welcome Eastern Conference!
Brian Fowler Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Detroit is right in the hunt for the 4th seed right now. At 12-14. Holy fuck the East is terrible.
Ryan Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Has the Brandon Jennings Experience paid off yet?
Brian Fowler Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 He's not been awful... Josh Smith had been excellent the last two games.
Ryan Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Statistically, Jennings seems to roughly be what he's always been except for more assists. Scores some points, shoots some threes, has a sub-par FG %, has a slightly above average PER, so the usual.
MarcosLoura Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Josh Smith stopped shooting five 3s per game. Thank you based god. 1

TimLivingston Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 If the Celtics make the playoffs, Brad Stevens is Coach of the Year. I know they want to give it to Terry Stotts, but what Stevens has done is nothing short of a fucking miracle.
RandomAct Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 I get kind of a lesser 2011 Mavs vibe from the Celtics. A bunch of guys(outside of their one star) who wouldn't really work out under any other system, but make it all come together thanks to great coaching.
AlfredoE Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Well, that 2011 Mavs team won like 57 games. Celtics might win 36 games.
RandomAct Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 That's why I said "lesser version" lol. They aren't NEARLY as good, but it's the vibe I get.
Niners Fan in CT Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Well its the east so my Celts still may have a top 4 seed 36 wins or not
AlfredoE Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 No kidding. As Brian said, the east is terrible.
AlfredoE Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 We have yet to discuss the NBA's hottest topic of the past few days, who will deal for Omer Asik! There's been at least 5-6 teams mentioned....and the Knicks.
RandomAct Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 I'd love if Dallas were in the mix, but we legit having nothing of value to offer. Thanks Lamar Odom.
AlfredoE Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Woj says the Celtics are very much in on Asik. I'm guessing it would be a 3-team deal since Rockets have to save money to pay Parsons after next season and he ain't gonna be cheap anymore.
