Beech27 Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 That Kenoh might leave is really based on circumstantial evidence at this point— Spoiler he dropped the title —but still, losing Ishimori is a blow, losing both would hurt an awful lot. And it had seemed the company was trending in the right direction.
DreamBroken Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 Have loved Ishimori's time in Impact, especially this year, so I'd be glad if he stuck around there somewhat regularly still.

Beech27 Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 1) I hope this is an indication that Kawada's on better terms with wrestling. To whatever extent he wants to be around the business, I hope he can manage it. 2) Book Taichi.
Control Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 That is not a title I’d expect to see a western wrestling promotion use.
Doragon Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Kawada said he will book 6 matches. Might use Joshi as well. He wants Marufuji to show up and older workers. He stressed old vs new and other genres of wrestling styles. Sounds similar to pre 2005 AJPW. Plans to hold a show every two months. 1 1
Curt McGirt Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 My friends, we might just have a WAR on our hands (if we're lucky) 3
dorfus malorfus Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 Holy War sounds awesome. He should book Kea vs Nagai.
Curt McGirt Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 That would be awesome. Who else is freelancing or not really locked in right now that should show up? I didn't even know Honda was still wrestling, FFS.

Curt McGirt Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 Kawada certainly could use the star power. It seems like he wants Marufuji to fight somebody else, at least if the first two people he wants publicly are him and Honda and wants a styles clash thing happening, but that would be a great match. Ibushi too. Hell, if Kenou is leaving, there's another head for the gathering.
Doragon Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 Mutoh hit his final moonsault on Kono today. Mutoh aims to come back eventually. Soya won the W-1 title.
Brian Fowler Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 Has there been any further word on the AJPW streaming service? Like will it have pre-split stuff?
Curt McGirt Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 Must say, that was a bomb-ass moonsault. I'd buy it finishing a match; short, fast, and impactful. Congrats Keiji
Doragon Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 NTV owns the footage before pre split AJPW/NOAH. They would have to work out a deal to use the footage but that's more likely to happen with NOAH service. Starts somewhere before Champion Carnival or so they say.
Brysynner Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Wait there's gonna be a NOAH streaming service? (Still catching up on Puro since I finally got Fire Pro on the PC)

If they don't have it running by the Carnival, announcing it was a huge mistake. If NOAH launches a service with AJPW's NTV content... Hot damn. The back catalogue alone would be worth it. I know they've shown some pick up in business since that start of the year, but I'm not sure they're going to have enough interest in the current product to do this. I so wish they'd work out a deal with their American partner Impact to put the stuff on the Global Wrestling Network and promote the hell out of it in Japan. But probably because I'm already giving them 8 bucks a month. I'm currently at four wrestling streaming services. I'm not sure I can afford much more.
Brian Fowler Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 According to ppl translating on Twitter, AJPW TV will launch next weekend, they wil accept PayPal, and it'll be free until April 1st.
Control Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 How easy are these streaming services to sign up for and cancel?
Doragon Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 A NOAH service would have Pre split AJPW, JWA, NOAH, maybe Fortune Dream and whatever they bought out from IWA Japan while back.
Raziel Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 Now if they would just tell us the link to the service so I can actually bookmark it to sign up...
