_MJ_
-MJ- has improved in the standings every week since update #5. Strange summer. I didn't think I had a chance. I was second to last on that fifth update too. It's still a long shot. RIPPA has a decent lead and his rankings are sensible all the way through to the end now. I did go out of the box with The Man From U.N.C.L.E. I listed it high on RT and low on box office. I'll either crash out of the top 5 with it or give it a decent push with it. Also, remember when Spielberg and/or Lucas were predicting the death of the blockbuster movie? When is that suppose to happen again? It's definitely not this year. Coincidentally, Jurassic Park IV and Star Wars are leading the charge in 2015.

_MJ_
What was the big movie last year again? Off the top of my head, I figure it was Guardians. Or maybe one of those Hunger games sequels.
Brian Fowler
Technically, American Sniper, but it was barely playing anywhere before the end of the year.
RIPPA
The worst for MJ is that if I manage to finish ahead of him and get to pick a prize - I think I might end up taking the movie he wants
RIPPA
Super early but Straight Outta Compton is starting at 90% (9-1)
Vincey Greene
It's really frustrating that I am the ONLY person who correctly called Jurassic World outdoing Avengers.... and the rest of my list is so trash it doesn't even matter.
J.T.
So, Rippa. When can I come over to borrow the movies you are going to win?
_MJ_
The worst for MJ is that if I manage to finish ahead of him and get to pick a prize - I think I might end up taking the movie he wants Haha. I can't hate. I knew the only way I was going to get that movie was to win it this year or through bribery. I didn't put Straight Outta Compton on my RT list, so I hope it is a critical darling. The reviews on Rotten Tomatoes seem weird though. Most of them praise parts of the movie, specifically the first half of it, but they all seem to say it's conventional and/or loses its way near the conclusion. FOX finally let go of its chokehold and The FANTASTIC FOUR reviews are starting to roll in. Sounds run-of-the mill. Not horrible or superb. And yeah, Vince Greene deserves a big gold star for putting Jurassic Park IV over the Avengers sequel. I didn't even think twice about putting Avengers at number one on the box office list, I was so sure it had it locked up.
Death From Above
The reviews on Rotten Tomatoes seem weird though. Most of them praise parts of the movie, specifically the first half of it, but they all seem to say it's conventional and/or loses its way near the conclusion. What's weird about this? It describes 98% of biopics ever made.
_MJ_
It's weird to me because most of those reviews are listed as positive, even when the authors seem to have mixed feelings about the movie. I guess the overall film experience was positive enough. Also, I demand citation for the 98% figure.
Paco
Only 6 reviews thus far but Fantastic Four is at 17% (1 fresh - 5 rotten).

Paco
12% (3-23) Moving back down! (I didn't even have the film on any list. I knew it would be unpredictable but...yikes) EDIT: Down to 8%! Will we see an upset at the bottom of the RT list?
RIPPA
Yeah - I mean I dont think anyone thought that movie would be worse than Pixels (let alone Hot Pursuit) That will put a little dent in my RT list
S.K.o.S.
I'm somewhat amused that people at the top of this contest are battling for a copy of Whiplash and then Miles Teller shows up in an enormous turkey. Anyway... Phantom Lord, Sublime, SorceressKnight and Hail Sabin all had Fantastic Four at the very bottom of their RT lists, so they are the fantastic four of the pool for today. J.T.
8% for FF on RT. Holy crap. I am in shock that an Adam Sandler vehicle won't be the worst reviewed film of the summer.

I'd like to thank my mama and Elvis. Well, and also the fact they openly said Doctor Doom was going to be a hacktivist blogger, AND MOST OF YOU DIDN'T THINK THIS WAS GOING TO BE BAD? REALLY?

Phantom Lord
Is it good or bad that I had it at the very bottom? I mean I figured it would be bad but wow I didn't expect some of the reviews it was getting. I was amused seeing a commercial earlier with it saying CRITICS ARE SAYING ITS FANTASTIC. I was like what critic exactly said that.
Death From Above
Maybe more concerning than the critics score is that according to RT only 33% of just general people that saw the movie voted that they liked it. Those numbers tend to always skewer high especailly with new releases (Pixels, for example, has a 55% "I saw it and liked it"). That's a crazy low number for a freshly released blockbuster. The Z
According to Variety Fantastic Four is estimated to barely make $30 million on it's opening weekend, which would make it the least succesful comic book movie since Green Hornet in 2011, which made $33.5 mill. The budget for FF was $120 million.
