Brian Fowler Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 Oh, I love T2. But it gets real lumpy in the second act. While Aliens is really strong throughout, again ND The Terminator is just a non-stop burst of adrenaline. Plus, only one of them has Edward Furlong.
BurningBeard Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 Man, you wouldn't believe the excitement of 9 year old me finally getting to watch T2 when it came out for rental. Think I must have watched it three times in two days. That bike v truck v Harley chase still gets a pop out of me to this day, and when the T1000 emerged from the flames? Forget about it. All they seem to show is the rather bloated expanded cut when it's on TV now, never really liked that as much though I'll be honest I did prefer the definitive ending that was cut. Fun (not fun) side fact: I based my Commander Shepherd in Mass Effect on Future John Connor from T2 right down to the face scar. 1
The Natural Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 (edited) I've seen The Terminator (1984), T2: Judgment Day (1991) and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003). T2's the best of them. Edited September 3, 2019 by The Natural 1
TheVileOne Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 In the early 1990s, the excitement for T2 is probably comparable to what it's like now for MCU. 1

The marketing team should never, ever be forgiven for that last tv spot just before the movie opened giving away that the T-800 was on the human's side.
Niners Fan in CT Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 This was in one of my local video stores for YEARS. I miss video stores. It was an experience to go there on a Friday night and pick out movies with friends and then get a pizza. We were set for the weekend. 3 1
Brian Fowler Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 Holy fuck I remember that display vividly now 2

This is the display I remember: 3 3
Niners Fan in CT Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 I haven't seen Last Action Hero in years but I remember loving it.

BurningBeard Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 Last Action Hero is the epitome of flawed masterpiece. If it had had someone like John Landis directing and they nailed that third act it would have been perfect. 1
Technico Support Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 1) So much Photoshop in Hamilton's face 2) For a split second I thought Arnold was Jeffrey Dean Morgan
Ligerbusa Posted October 5, 2019 Author Posted October 5, 2019 I feel just kind of numb to the spoilers that I've read. I'm still going to see the movie but considering Salvation and Genisys, I'm not really expecting this to go anywhere. ' 1
BurningBeard Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 At least we'll have a trilogy of failed trilogies
Curt McGirt Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 The "humor" in the trailers coming out has not endeared me to this project at all.
Niners Fan in CT Posted October 13, 2019 Posted October 13, 2019 This has been a roller coaster for me. I wasn't interested. Then I saw a teaser and it was better than expected. But then I saw an extended trailer the other night at the imax and it looks kind of messy.
Ligerbusa Posted October 21, 2019 Author Posted October 21, 2019 They screened it at the Alamo Drafthouse. They were supposed to show T2 and twenty minutes of Dark Fate but surprised people by showing Dark Fate in its entirely. Most reviews are calling it solid and comparing it to The Force Awakens. Praise for Linda Hamilton and Mackenzie Davis. 1

Curt McGirt Posted October 21, 2019 Posted October 21, 2019 Judging from the trailers, more like a beat by beat remake of T2 1
The Natural Posted October 23, 2019 Posted October 23, 2019 Terminator 2: Dark Fate is currently 62% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes after 37 reviews.
