I'm so ready to inject Avowed directly into my veins, it checks so many boxes of what is "my shit." I don't know if it will be good but I have to give it an honest try (helps that I have Gamepass). I need to finish Yakuza: Like a Dragon first but I think I'm towards the end of it.

I'm jealous it's not coming out on PS5 (yet). There's a ton of stuff I wanna play later this year and was hoping Avowed would bridge the gap. It's looking like Civilization 7 won't be that good until they release some more content over the year either so I guess on the plus side I'll save some money

Civ's been showing up on sponsored streamers Early Access and what I've seen is ok.  I might sit on it a bit only because of how much stuff I'm wading through.  Avowed I'll check out solely because it's on GamePass so there's not any risk for me.

Assassin's Creed Shadows is back  up for pre-sale, and has ridiculous specs for PC.  But given it's issues, I already got Ubisoft+ for some other stuff and it's hitting that, so I'll see if it's worth it there, as I got burned out on Mirage pretty quick.

Capcom is releasing another fighting game collection this time it's Power Stone 1 and 2, Project Justice, Plasma Sword, SF: Alpha 3, Capcom Fighting Evolution and Capcom vs. SNK 1 and 2.

I spent a lot of high school and college playing these games so it's hitting the nostalgia sweet spot for me.

I'm bummed out that they're apparently the arcade versions and not the Dreamcast versions.

I have all of these games on Dreamcast, and they all have extras - single-player modes, extra minigame stuff, all that type of thing.

My Dreamcast is dead, so I was hoping to just get this collection instead, but I think I'm going to have to spend money on a new Dreamcast...and it's not 2005 anymore, which is when I bought this latest one.

I've got a Dreamcast sitting in storage that I will likely never use again.  Assuming it still works we could probably figure something out if you're interested.

If it's working and you have a price in mind, DM me!

Sweet, I'll pull it out and test it tonight and let you know.

This is also reminding me that I should find and sell my copy of Skies of Arcadia.

I wonder what you could get for that? 200 if it's in good condition? 300?

I'm surprised there hasn't been a more recent re-release of that game.

Sega did recently renew the Skies of Arcadia trademark in Japan...

Yeah, it's weird they haven't done a port since the Gamecube.

Looking at actual sales on ebay looks like I should be able to clear $100 or so.

I had no idea Power Stone was even in arcades. I'm going to get this collection purely just to have Power Stone 1 and 2 again.

I'm still going to get this, but I'm glad that I got Power Stone Collection on my Vita because that has the Dreamcast releases, which means more content.

If you have a PSVita by any chance, you can still purchase Power Stone Collection as a PSP game via the store, which might be nice if you are only looking to play the Power Stone games and not the other stuff on the collection.

I don't think it's one of the PSP games playable on PS4/PS5, though. It doesn't even show up in my library on my PS App. I'll have to check the next time I pop onto my PS5 and see if it's downloadable from there.

(As an aside, Capcom's arcade-to-Dreamcast pipeline in the late '90s/early '00s was GODLY. Capcom's modern stuff doesn't do much for me now, but back then, they were a great game factory.)

I just hope SF Alpha 3 Upper has the translation from the console and PSP versions. If it's JP-only (the arcade version was only ever released there) I'll be so incredibly bummed.

All these great games in this collection, and also Capcom Fighting Evolution!

Can't wait.

I hope Capcom does a shoot-em-up collection next with their old arcade/Dreamcast games. Mars Matrix, Cannon Spike, Gunbird, Gunbird 2, etc. I think at least one Gunbird game is in a Capcom Arcade Stadium collection, but I'd love to see just one solid package of them.

That and a re-release of Aliens vs. Predator Arcade are like the two major things I want from Capcom. Oh, a re-release of Capcom Bowling in the next Capcom Arcade Stadium would be swell, too, so three things.

There's a list of changes on the website for all the games for CFC2

https://www.capcom-games.com/cfc2/en-us/title/sf-zero3-upper/

It's newly built from the JP verison.

Rad thanks. I was really afraid that, like the weirdo Darkstalkers games it'd be untranslated.

I was, initially, really disappointed that Tech Romancer isn't here but tbh more than anything actually included, that's the 1 game where I don't give a fuck unless you include the Dreamcast port with its 9 billion unlockables.

I do think it's really strange that we're getting Projext Justice and Plasma Sword, but not their antecedents Rival Schools and Star Gladiator. I've seen it suggested that this is very much a NAOMI-focused set for the 3d games, and so they may have been left off because they'd be more work to emulate. Still 100% sold.

The Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO version is also selectable in the ex settings, it sorta emulates Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO within the arcade Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001 game. It doesn't include everything from the console versions of EO though.

Gunbird and Gunbird 2 are included in the Psikyo Shooting Stars Bravo collection if you're after modern ports. I didn't think they had any Capcom affiliation, though it has now occured to me you may have meant the Giga Wing games and if so the first is included on Capcom Arcade Stadium. I would say Mars Matrix could also find a home there one day considering that Progear made it.

that State of Play kinda sucked ngl

Rogue & Soulslikes as far as the eye can see. And lots of Chinese/Korean “pretty girl with a big sword” games. Housemarque making basically Returnal 2, that guy that left Rockstar making GTA Cyberpunk (but I read it’s connected to another game hub IE Metaverse or the Assassin’s Creed hub thing).

At least Supermassive is finally ditching the “stupid teens get killed” for “stupid adults get killed - in space!”. I’m down with that one.

Capcom published Gunbird 2 in the United States.

(The first Gunbird was published in the U.S. by Jaleco, interestingly enough.)

I actually bought Gunbird and Gunbird 2 digitally as standalone purchases on the eShop, though, where they're also located. I just like my cool arcade collection packages, which is why I appreciate you mentioning the Psikyo collection.

As a side note, Psikyo and Capcom had a strong developer/publisher relationship on Dreamcast. Cannon Spike is probably the best example - a shooter including Mega Man, Cammy, Arthur, Balrog/Vega, etc., but developed by Psikyo.
