Pete Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 Holstein Kiel will be the 58th side to appear in the Bundesliga, and the league's official website has a neat story on the first 57 clubs. Preußen Münster! Tennis Borussia Berlin! Wuppertaler SV! 1
odessasteps Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 I guess no one wanted to score today in the Championship playoff games.

ReiseReise Posted May 14, 2024 Posted May 14, 2024 This topic is me 100%ing DVDR message boards, with Clubs being mentioned from every German city I've ever lived in. Bravo!
Dolfan in NYC Posted May 17, 2024 Author Posted May 17, 2024 Brazil has been awarded the 2027 Women's World Cup
odessasteps Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 Finally, they can use some of those white elephant stadiums from the 2014 WC.
SirFozzie Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Man Yoo in shambles (Women's edition) Chelsea are beating Man Yoo 5-0 in the Women's Super League to pip Manchester City to the Women's Super League title (by goal difference) 1
The Natural Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Last day of the Premier League tomorrow looks a real boring one as I can't see Manchester City slipping up which Arsenal need to win the Premier League title four years running, two relegation places confirmed with the last essentially over. The best final days have drama in the race for the title and trying to stay up. Only intrigue for me is Jurgen Klopp's last game as Liverpool manager. Shame the three horse race for the Premier League went down to two as the season went on too long for Liverpool.
Pete Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Perfect. 2-1 over Augsburg to complete the undefeated season. At the other end of the table, Mainz and Union Berlin won to save their bacon. Koln were relegated outright, joining Darmstadt, and Bochum will take their chances against Fortuna Dusseldorf in the playoffs. 1

The Natural Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 I think Arsenal and Liverpool lost the Premier League on that fateful Sunday when Liverpool lost to Crystal Palace 0-1 at Anfield in the early kickoff and Arsenal lost to Aston Villa at the Emirates 0-2. Unai Emery's revenge.
Raziel Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 Silly season this year is going to be fun with all the Manager openings in the Big 5 that'll holding everyone's attention. First question is if Ratcliffe lets EtH back on the bus to Manchester after the Final or makes him find his own ride.
odessasteps Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 I’m ready for the disaster of Southgate being United manager.

FWIW I saw an article in The Athletic that mentioned the FFP rules mean that they will have to wait until July to sack him (I admit I have no idea how that whole thing works).
The Natural Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 "Jordan Henderson is a fantastic role model on and off the pitch, he is a leader and part of that group that Southgate turned to. Even if he is not starting I think he would be good around the squad." Fuck right off, Henry Winter.
The Natural Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 (edited) It could be Rotterdam or anywhere. Liverpool or Rome. Wherever Slotty manages. He'll never need a comb. Never need a comb. Edited May 21, 2024 by The Natural
The Natural Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 (edited) Mauricio Pochettino leaves Chelsea by mutual consent. Wow. Edited May 21, 2024 by The Natural
Raziel Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 I'm amazed it was mutual and not a straight sacking. 1
odessasteps Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 I wonder if that means he has another job lined up (Bayern?)
odessasteps Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 No treble for Bayer, as Atalanta dominate today, 3-0
