Curt McGirt Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 I have a soft spot for sad alcoholics, so Lon has always been cool in my book. And if you look at the list of his acting roles, that guy was a worker. He said he did everything, even stuntwork like falling down cliffs, almost getting killed by a train, etc. 1
RIPPA Posted August 12, 2024 Author Posted August 12, 2024 Hysteria Julie Bowen, Anna Camp and "special guest star" Bruce Campbell All the episodes hit Peacock on Oct 18 - however, if you would rather watch it like a normal TV show, USA will show one episode every Friday 1

Curt McGirt Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qd9d5MPmWs8 New Nosferatu trailer. I'm all the fuck in on this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=918prRymA-U This is for all my family folks on here. Amy Adams looks totally -- TOTALLY -- different... like a real human being instead of a movie star. And she thinks she's a dog. Like, an actual dog.
driver Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 I thought that was Amy Schumer at first glance. That looks really good. 2
Technico Support Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 I watched The Deliverance on Netflix. Highest recommendation to avoid unless you really want to see an Evangelical film masquerading as a horror movie. Also, it was just so ham-fisted and clumsy. Look, horror films have been used as allegory forever. But if you’re trying to make an allegory for the collapse of the African American family, poverty, etc, you have to put in the work and not whatever this shit was. Jordan Peele it was not. 1
No Point Stance Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 Are we doing Secret Satan again this year? The signup thread started mid-September last year and I'm stupidly excited that for once I've remembered S.S. before October was upon us. 1 1
RIPPA Posted September 9, 2024 Author Posted September 9, 2024 I will try to get it going by the end of the week 3 2
RIPPA Posted September 9, 2024 Author Posted September 9, 2024 Hold Your Breath I don't think Sarah Paulson can do normal movies and judging by the trailer this is VERY fucked up 1
Curt McGirt Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 So Texas Chainsaw was titled Don't Open That Door in Italy. That's... not too bad, I guess. I mean really, you could have said that multiple times in the movie to the characters. 1
Curt McGirt Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 I like the iron door being part of it. 2

Curt McGirt Posted September 12, 2024 Posted September 12, 2024 https://www.fangoria.com/salems-lot-2024-max-release-date/ With trailer. Looks pretty neat! Lewis Pullman really looks like a young version of William Hurt. They are also very very lucky they survived the Zaslav Money Grab 1
RIPPA Posted September 12, 2024 Author Posted September 12, 2024 The article doesn't really go into it but apparently the only reason the movie didn't get totally scrapped is because of the pressure put on them by Stephen King himself
Curt McGirt Posted September 12, 2024 Posted September 12, 2024 Why am I not surprised. I thought at first "maybe because it was a King property" then I went back and looked at their other two examples -- a Marvel franchise film and a Warner Bros. property. Any and everything is on the chopping block.
Curt McGirt Posted September 12, 2024 Posted September 12, 2024 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HmzJQxrNJk8&t=108s TENANTS (dir. Jonathan Louis Lewis, Sean Mesler, Blake Reigle and Buz Wallick) -- Red Band Trailer A new anthology piece, won several awards at fests last year. Looks like everything will be wildly different. 1
The Natural Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 (edited) Mount Rushmore of horror icons? I've come up with: Freddy Krueger, Leatherface, Michael Myers, Norman Bates. I toyed between Norman Bates and Regan MacNeil. Might put Regan back in. John Kramer narrowly missed out. Mount Rushmore of slasher icons? Freddy Krueger, Leatherface, Michael Myers, Ghostface. I also considered Chucky. Would John Kramer count? You may be aghast I haven't included Jason in either, he's never appealed to me like the others have. Edited September 14, 2024 by The Natural
